Bazi / Re: Hellenistic Astrologer, new to Bazi. Is my chart OK?

The tendency for digestive issues means the Gui Wei hour chart that I posted is the correct one, instead of the Jia Shen hour that you posted, because this hour would give these two interactions Wei-Zi and Wei-Xu that would lead to these issues.

In Bazi, Wei-Zi is called harm, and Wei-Xu is called (half) punishment.  Don't let the names scare you, though...

On the other hand, the Jia Shen hour would not lead to these issues.

Water goat does make sense from an astrological point of view as well. In fact, the parallels there are rather extraordinary.

My tropical ascendant sign (loosely equivalent to 4P's day-pillar in terms of general importance) is Pisces, which is the sign of the fish, and my chart ruler (the planet guiding the overall orientation of the chart as "owner" of the ascendant) is Jupiter in Capricorn, which is the sign of the sea goat.

I'd imagine archetypal correlations of this sort between these two systems are probably abundant, but it is a riveting thing to contemplate nonetheless.

I am looking forward comparing the BaZi charts of friends and family and seeing just how frequent this sort of overt symbolic overlap is.

Hi Handle, do you tend to have digestive issues?

Note: the above time of 14:53 produced by bazi-calculator.com already incorporates Austin as the city of birth.  The program asked for it
Yes. Have had digestive issues since I was around 16-17 (acid reflux/GERD) and have been taking PPI’s just about every day in the years since.

This last past year though has gotten worse though, and I now have regular issues with bowel movements that I didn’t used to.

Bazi / Re: Another bazi calculator

I have noticed most bazi calculators do not include birth longitude and latitude/location, while still often times asking for time.

I’m brand new to the space- can anyone tell me why that is or how that works?

Hi Handel, welcome to the forum!  You have two possible hour pillars, because you are born at the borderline between Goat and Monkey hours.  We will need to verify which chart fits yours.  How accurate do you think is the 3:08 p.m. that you stated?

Here is the chart with Goat (Wei) hour:

Thank you! Glad to be here.

As for the time- I am almost certain 3:08pm is accurate. If not 3:08 exactly, it could be a minute, maybe two off. But 3:08pm is the time written on the birth certificate, and I presume since it is not rounded that it is correct, or if not correct a minute or two late (but not more than that).

Bazi / Hellenistic Astrologer, new to Bazi. Is my chart OK?
« on: September 26, 2022, 09:43:49 AM »
Hi. I am a practitioner of ancient astrology, and have recently stumbled upon Bazi and found the foundational principles to be quite compelling.

This is my Bazi chart, and I was hoping to get any general insight on it that anyone is willing to provide. I am, and have been for the past year quite concerned with issues of longevity and money specifically, and was wondering what (if any) indications there are for these things in my chart.

The concerns for longevity (and/or the longevity of friends/family) came up shortly after my 25th birthday, and I at that point stopped working on a promising company I had been developing to seriously pursue my passion for astrology.

Thank you in advance.

Addendum: On a different site "Lonesome" is included at the bottom of 2017 period.
Addendum 2: Not entirely certain this is my chart. I get different results depending on the website I use.
