Hello. Everything looks according to the Master of the Day - the Heavenly Stem of the day. It is your Yang Tree. The year 2026 will be relatively good for you according to the Taoist BaZi. But since 2023, your pillars of luck are loss of wealth and making wrong decisions. Therefore, your difficult time will end only in 2033. This is if you were born in the northern solar hemisphere. You did not indicate your place of birth, so I counted it this way. If the southern hemisphere - the pillars of luck will be different.

I’m from Malaysia so that would be the north. It’s interesting to hear your analysis though. I thought horse with horse would be bad because it is a punishment combo.

Hi all,

I'm in the midst of learning BaZi and am starting to read a bit of my chart. I'm female born on the 27th February 1996 at 4.40AM.

My chart consist of:
Hour pillar: Tiger
Day pillar: Horse
Month pillar: Tiger
Year Pillar: Rat

In 2026, it will be the year of Fire Horse so is this going to be a bad year for my chart? Because Horse and Horse is punishment and Rat clashes with Horse as well...

usually in this kind of situation, it's best to not make any major changes in your life right? Weather its changing jobs, doing a study exchange overseas, or buying property, etc?

In traditional **I Ching divination** (易經卦), it's typically best if the individual directly involved raises the question and provides the numbers. This is because the numbers chosen for generating the hexagram (gua) ideally reflect the questioner's intent and energy, making the reading more aligned with their personal context and intuition.

For this process, she would need to:
1. Formulate her question clearly: "Is 2025 a good year for me to quit my job and focus on full-time study?"
2. Choose 3 sets of numbers between **1 and 64**. These numbers will help in forming the primary hexagram.

Once she has these numbers, you or she can use them to generate the hexagram and analyze its insights.

Do I just reply to you here? No. 64, 27,2

Here’s a revised interpretation based on her current Luck Pillar of **丁亥 (Ding Hai)**:

### Key Analysis for 2025 Decisions:
1. **Current Luck Pillar (27-37): 丁亥 (Ding Hai)**
   - **丁 (Yin Fire)** in the Heavenly Stem can enhance the Fire element, supporting her growth and self-expression. However, **亥 (Hai, Pig, Yang Water)** in the Earthly Branch brings a strong Water influence, which generally controls Fire.
   - This Luck Pillar represents a mix of Fire (creativity and self-expression) and Water (intellect and resourcefulness). For a strong **Wood** Day Master, Water is beneficial as it nurtures Wood, especially useful for studies and learning.

2. **2025 (乙巳 Year) Impact:**
   - The **Heavenly Stem 乙 (Yi, Yin Wood)** adds to her Wood energy, supporting her studies and growth. However, with an already strong Wood Day Master, this could make the Wood element overly dominant, meaning she may need to balance it carefully to avoid feeling overly burdened or overstressed.
   - The **Earthly Branch 巳 (Si, Snake, Fire)** strengthens the Fire element, which is associated with wealth for her. This can be a good year for financial activity, but with caution in balancing income and expenses.

3. **Suitability for Study and Career Focus:**
   - **Study Focus:** The Water element in her Luck Pillar (亥) supports studies and potentially overseas opportunities. Since Water aligns well with her Day Master and encourages personal growth, taking up more classes and even going for an overseas exchange can be favorable.
   - **Career Impact:** If she quits her job, the stability associated with Metal (career influence) may be temporarily reduced. However, her current Luck Pillar supports studies and self-development. It might still be wise to consider part-time work to maintain some Metal energy for structure and financial security.

4. **Financial Stability for 2025:**
   - The Fire and Water elements of her chart and Luck Pillar indicate she may have enough supportive resources to focus on her studies. However, careful financial planning is necessary as she could feel pressure balancing expenses, especially if she fully transitions to student life.

### Recommendations:
- **Consider Full-Time Study with a Balanced Approach:** While quitting her job might allow her to focus, maintaining a small side job or part-time work could provide financial stability and support.
- **Overseas Study Opportunity:** This Luck Pillar and 2025's Water element favor overseas exchanges and studies, so applying for such an opportunity could be beneficial.
- **Financial Planning:** Since full-time study could stretch her resources, it's advisable to budget well or seek part-time income sources to balance study expenses.

Overall, 2025 seems favorable for studies and overseas exchange if financial planning is done well. Part-time work might create a more stable structure for balancing both education and finances.

Wow, thanks smsek for the interpretation.

What you mentioned was really my consideration and doubt at the same time. I really wanted to quit my job to focus on my studies but at the same time, I wasn't really willing to let go of my current financials + am worried 'what if' there's some huge financial crisis that might befall me next year...There was a year where I lost a huge chunk of savings because of a family member, hence the doubts.

Hi All,

For clarity, Kiwi is a Female.

Hi Kiwi,

How is your current work situation going? What made you decide to pursue an MBA at this time?
How many years does the program take?

Thanks,

ren

Hi Ren,

Thanks for re-clarifying my gender haha. I was using a phone to access so that was quite difficult.

My reason for studying is that I've always wanted to further my studies. It was just a matter of when I was financially and mentally ready. And in previous years I've felt really, really lost. I didn't know what I wanted to do and I just felt incompetent overall. So I wanted to take a break from my job to do some learning again. Although that being said, right now I'm still working full time. However, I don't really foresee much career growth in this company. I'm a copywriter and I've seen writers in my company who've worked there for 6+ years and only reached senior writer role (most likely the career ceiling in that company).

The minimum number of years is most likely 2 years. But if I were to work full time while studying, I might take 2.5 years to complete.

Hi,

I hope someone can share some insights with me. This year I finally enrolled in MBA course but am starting to think of I should quit my job to focus on studying next year.

I'm still able to manage both work and studying for now, but I'm considering to take up more classes and perhaps apply for exchange studies overseas. Plus, my compaymay sometimes be unreasonable in making me work after hours.

So question is, is next year 2025 a good year for
Me to quit my job and do full time study? Also, will I have the chance to do overseas study as well? Is it safe for my finances and wealth?

My birthdate is 27/2/1996, 4.15am, Malaysia.

Why do you need an MBA? Are you planning to start your own business? If you want to advance in your field, a second degree in a related profession is better. An MBA is for leaders. Not all companies are ready to see leaders in middle and top management. Consult with an HR specialist in your field.

It's more for personal growth purposes. Plus, the bachelor's degree I took was a very niche area that doesn't have much growth in my country so studying business for a Master's is more useful. In reality, MBAs don't really function much as a leadership boost as much as people think it is. I've realized that it doesn't differ much from a bachelor's degree pursuit after enrolling lol.

assume u r male

PART 1===>This Bazi chart is for a male born on February 27, 1996, at 4:15 AM, and here is a basic analysis:

### Bazi Pillars and Structure:
1. **Year Pillar (丙子):** Fire Rat - **丙** (Bing, Yang Fire) in the Heavenly Stem and **子** (Zi, Rat, Yang Water) in the Earthly Branch.
2. **Month Pillar (庚寅):** Metal Tiger - **庚** (Geng, Yang Metal) in the Heavenly Stem and **寅** (Yin, Tiger, Yang Wood) in the Earthly Branch.
3. **Day Pillar (甲午):** Wood Horse - **甲** (Jia, Yang Wood) in the Heavenly Stem and **午** (Wu, Horse, Yang Fire) in the Earthly Branch.
4. **Hour Pillar (丙寅):** Fire Tiger - **丙** (Bing, Yang Fire) in the Heavenly Stem and **寅** (Yin, Tiger, Yang Wood) in the Earthly Branch.

### Key Observations:
1. **Day Master (日干, 甲):** The Day Master is **甲 (Jia, Yang Wood)**. This Day Master is rooted in the **寅 (Tiger)** branches in both the Hour and Month Pillars, which provides strong support for the Wood element, indicating a strong Day Master.
2. **Supportive and Controlling Elements:**
   - **Wood (木)**: Strong due to the presence of **甲** in the Day Pillar and **寅** in two branches.
   - **Fire (火)**: Also strong, with **丙** Fire in both the Year and Hour Stems, and **午** Fire in the Day Branch.
   - **Earth (土)**: Present as hidden stems in **寅** and **午**, but it is not prominently shown.
   - **Metal (金)**: Represented by **庚** in the Month Stem. Metal is the **官星 (Officer Star)**, which generally represents authority or career influence for a Wood Day Master.
   - **Water (水)**: Present in the **子** Year Branch. Water serves as the **印星 (Resource Star)**, providing additional support to the Day Master.

3. **Elemental Balance and Favorable Elements:**
   - This chart has a strong **Wood** and **Fire** influence, while **Metal** and **Water** are present but less dominant.
   - For a strong **Wood** Day Master like **甲木**, **Metal** and **Water** are generally favorable. Metal helps to control Wood, balancing the strong Wood energy, while Water nurtures Wood in a controlled way.

4. **Ten-Year Luck Pillars:**
   - **Ages 23-33 (癸巳, Gui Si):** This period brings **Water** (癸) in the Heavenly Stem and **Fire** (巳) in the Earthly Branch. This Luck Pillar balances the Wood by adding Water, which is supportive. However, the Fire from the **巳** Branch may intensify the strong Fire influence, suggesting a period where career stability and emotional balance should be monitored.
   - **Ages 33-43 (甲午, Jia Wu):** This Luck Pillar brings **Wood** (甲) and **Fire** (午), enhancing both elements that are already strong in the chart. This period can offer growth opportunities but might require careful management of excessive Wood and Fire energies.
   - **Ages 43-53 (乙未, Yi Wei):** The **乙 (Yin Wood)** and **未 (Goat)** elements provide additional Earth (Wealth element) and can support more grounded decision-making, particularly in finances.

### Interpretation Summary:
- **Strong Wood Day Master (甲木):** This chart needs balancing with **Metal** and **Water** to stabilize the strong Wood and Fire elements.
- **Career and Wealth:** Metal elements in the chart suggest career influence, while Earth in the hidden stems represents Wealth. As such, career opportunities related to **Metal** industries (e.g., finance, technology, engineering) may be favorable, while careful management of wealth is advised.
- **Relationships:** Strong Wood may sometimes clash with Metal, indicating a need for harmony in relationships. Careful communication and diplomacy can help in managing conflicts.

This is a high-level interpretation. Specific life areas (e.g., wealth, career, relationships) can be analyzed further based on specific questions.

Opps, I'm female

Hi @aeonrel, thanks again for such a comprehensive reading. I am worried he might try his hands on all these investments again as the years go. I just got to know he was playing with cryptos...from what you've said, my brother doesn't have much luck in these things  :-\.

Hii @coldpillow, we try not to burden him financially as my parents are also working but I guess he feel responsible to do so.

Hi @kiwi ,

From your previous posts, you mentioned you were born in Malaysia, so I am going to assume your brother was born there as well.
If my assumption is correct, then attached chart 1 should correctly reflect your brother's Bazi, adjusted for solar time.

I think from a personality perspective, I would infer his risk-taker attitude from the following (refer chart 2):
  • 戊 earth (output) suppressing 壬 water (officer), suggesting his expressive self tends to suppress his willingness to play by rules.
  • 卯 wood (ethics/parents) combines with 戌 earth (output), eliminating both, suggesting his expressive self has a tendency to be detrimental to his ethical values, as well as a bit of a problem for your parents.
  • This leaves him mainly with unharmed wealth elements (申 and 酉 metals) in the branches, suggesting he is focused on going after things that brings value and benefits to him.
So overall, he has a tendency to go after what he wants, sometimes against social norms, hence the risk-taker attitude effect.

For 2023 (refer to chart 2 again), I would say the image of him overspending lies mainly on the 申 clash 卯 in the branches.
It shows his money aspect of life curbing his wood, which covers both "doing the right thing" and "parents"(or the greater family support system, including you).
This will explain him, in an attempt to achieve what he wants, foregoes what should be the right thing to do, and instead, overspends, and is now taking money from his support system to cover for it.

Luckily, in 2024 (甲辰 year), the 申 clash 卯 effect goes away, because 卯 is no longer around to be suppressed, paving way for more earth (辰) to grow the 申 metal wealth luck.
So I think this money woes is only temporary.
Also, in the 2024 stem, 甲 wood comes in to suppress his 戊 earth, which suggest he will be more obedient next year, perhaps after learning his lesson from this 2023 episode.

Curious though, and I am not sure if there is any correlation, but I see for 2023 in the stems, his 戊 earth combines with 2x 癸 water.
This combination makes him lose 2x officer luck at a go, which makes me wonder if he is having problems at work?
Could he have lost his job recently, or pay cut of sorts, hence he couldn't support his needs financially?

Hi aeonrel,

Thanks again for helping me read. I do hope this is temporary as I've never seen my brother so stressed out before, making my parents stressed as well. Would you say base on his chart he'll do fine doing investment/stocks/etc.? Or is it best that he should just stick to earning fix salary?

I'm not sure about his job but he did mentioned the company was stressful and difficult to work in. If I don't consider the exchange...then yeah there's a pay drop.

For example, these are 2 freelance marketplace with a lot of earth and fire: Fiverr, Freelancer.com

Their launch date is their birthday. I got them from wikipedia (fiverr) and crunchbase (freelancer).

Freelancer.com: https://bazi-calculator.com/?licz=1&n=99-Freelancer&y=2009&m=5&d=1&h=%3F&g=0&l=0&lon=-6.1554
Fiverr: https://bazi-calculator.com/?licz=1&n=99-Fiverr&y=2010&m=2&d=1&h=%3F&g=0&l=0&lon=-6.1554

Fiverr is infamous for being ridiculously cheap, but they do have a premium version with much higher pricing: Fiverr Pro, which requires robust and authentic proof that you are indeed a seasoned professional.

There is another one with more balanced elements and strong water in the chart: https://bazi-calculator.com/?licz=1&n=99-Upwork&y=2015&m=6&d=17&h=%3F&g=0&l=0&lon=-6.1554

It's Upwork, I got the officially launch date from Zippia.

omg thank you! Your readings are really good and easy to understand. Ive also known these websites, they are quite Popular freelance platform.

Writer is a good example for wood and fire jobs.

As a writer, you can try working for reputable companies in education, medical, agriculture, human resources, real estate, urban planning sectors.

Freelancer is worth trying, but this is WATER in characteristics (very unstable). Your chart still needs water a little bit, so I guess freelancing can be your side jobs.

There are 2 ways of working as a freelancer:
- Work for a few clients who want long-term relationship or
- Work for many clients who want short-term relationship

Your luck is more suitable for long-term relationship. After you have enough experience, who knows it may become your main job.

Thanks!

Never really thought of combining elements together. I've always thought that lacking earth means I have to do jobs related to soil or construction lol.

What is your background education? Do you have a hobby?

I studied linguistics though it wasn't exactly by choice. But I do like to research and write. I've been a copywriter before and loved the job. But because of the pay and company values being different, I went for marketing instead.

I've thought of becoming a freelance writer though but was told my luck shouldn't do business but to work for companies.
