I asked before the beginning of the match what will be the Resault  ?
On 12 : 00  i made a phone call to my son for learning the outcome  ..!!
I favour my son's team Self line ..
What is your opinion ?..

Self line: the month favors it, while the date does not favor it.
Others line: the month overcomes (kills) it, while the date favors it.

And still, the winner is Self line!  Moral of the story: the month is more powerful than the day.

But I remember what Sacrar shared:

Dear all .. hi

My view on this case .. is a combined and massive strength on both (month plus Day).. but isn't enough. !!!
On this example I  had the advantage to take account on the hour of the contest .. (was started 9:00 - and ended 11:00) on Si fire hour (was a shining day without any cloud )..!!
On this case Si  fire of hour can  clash Hai water Other's line .. and can support by producing Xu earth Self line ..
The match was very difficult with my son's team to score on the start of first half and trying to hold this score defensively until the end ..!!!
I guess the winner would be another if the weather was cloudy or rainy on this hour or the match was made on Shen - You metal or Hai water  hour .. !!

I agree with Jlim .. that month is much powerful than day branch ..

Other line have an overall Qi rating, taking into account day and month, of -2 and Self line of +4.

What has more power seems to lack consensus. It seems to me that the majority opinion is that the month is more important. The book I have in Spanish only takes into account the month to assess the qi of the line. Others say that depending on the type of question and context, one or the other may have more weight.

I also believe that it is a matter of belief and individual experience, not extrapolation, of each one. If one believes that the day is more important (or the year or the hour) then in your queries it will be reflected that it is more important.

Hi Sacrar, I do not agree that belief plays a big role in fundamental concepts such as Month vs. Day importance.  If that was so, every time I look at a hexagram that somebody generated, I would have to ask which one (s)he believes is more important before I start to analyze.  Sacrar, I have looked at your hexagram many times, and I do not ask beforehand which view of Month vs. Day that you hold at that time.

Having said that I agree with Jlim ..
If I focused on Hour branch for short term Qeŕies just as football matches etc.. is on investigation and not of acceptance  ..!!
Some of us experimenting what could occurring .. (Par example  I incorporate Hour for short term cases to my works ) ..
This doesn't influence the way you can read an Hexagram ... !!
There is a free choice for that ... unless and until you have an evident success on decipher ..
