Questions regarding of my career and finance
« on: September 07, 2023, 07:22:25 AM »
Hello everyone, I am Male, was born in 11 Jun 1998, 6:15AM, in Bandung, Indonesia.

I would like to ask some questions about my career and financial situation
Currently my career is good (just started) however I don't know if I will stay here for long or not, I wish that I can work here for long term. FYI currently I am working in Media (advertising) industry and I am also having my own business.

For financial wise, I am kinda indebted and I wish to settle this soon and start to have a saving, however with this current job, I require to travel a lot and my business is not running well yet so I still need to inject money to my business.
Any insight with this? and what should I do with this?

Thank you and have a great day.

Hi @caphesuada ,

Your bazi has certain characteristics:

   • Lack of wealth elements (water). Apart from monetary luck, it also accounts for luck with running your own business. Since you have none in your natal chart, it suggests that your luck with running your own business is flat.

So happen, due to your particular bazi chart configuration, no water element is suitable, as when any of them appear in the rolling years, some other elements in your natal chart will naturally suppress it.

So, very unfortunately, I have to say that wealth luck is not on your side this life. But there are other ways around. More on that later below.

   • Presence of career luck (wood). You possess healthy luck with working under employment. The wood in your chart is also generally unharmed except for the period of 2037 to 2046, where it will drip a little.

   • You also do not possess any output/expressive elements (metal) in your natal chart, which suggest  that you are usually someone who thinks more than actually taking action, and struggles with displaying your skills and talents. However, so happen that between the ages of 19 and 38, metal comes in very strongly into your life, giving you that power boost of expressiveness during your golden age of adulthood.

I am guessing your interest in the media industry (creative industry, an expressive field), your drive to run your own business, the attitude necessary to cope with frequent travels, are indicative of this boost from metal. I suspect the younger you, 18 and below, would not have made the same decisions.

While you are blessed with this boost now, do take note it will wane off eventually after 38, or from 2037 onwards, so do make the best out of it now.

---

Solution Development

Because of your lack of affinity with wealth, your healthy luck with career, and a current run of strong output/expression elements, I would suggest the following:

   • Don't focus on getting wealth, quickly. Luck is not with you.

   • Strong output element is the next best alternative of wealth generation, but it means by putting your skills and talents to hard work, and you will reap the rewards. Not so much dumb luck with money.

   • Since your career luck is healthy, you would do well putting your output energy into delivering the best for your career, and earning a steady income stream from there.

   • It is not that you can't succeed with your own business, but it has to be geared towards putting a lot of hard work into delivering the results, then you will see the revenue rewards. It should not be those where you just invest in it and not do much, expecting it to prosper.

   • But for running your own business, because your metal evaporates after age 38, and wealth luck is poor, I think some caution is required by the time you reach that age. I suggest transiting out of it completely, but if the business is too precious to you, then you have to continue to run it very cautiously.

   • Judging by the flat wealth luck for the next few years, it does not seem like you can speed up the repayment of your debt. On average, however your income is progressing now, will likely continue as such.

---

Conclusion

I actually think holding a career, under employment, will have a better outcome for you than running a business. Wealth is not great, but at least it is consistent and more reliable. But this is just my suggestion.

Dear @aeonrel

Thank you for the response! In this case, I am wondering whether Media job is really suitable for me? I am in a middle of paranoid phase where I keep thinking that I am not good enough for this job since I am completely new in this industry.

Plus, since I am currently half living in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) and half in Indonesia (Batam), Can I sustain this as in always going to be back and forth? TBH I still prefer to live in Vietnam however I am kinda stucked in Batam because of my business.

Thank you so much once again for your prompt reply!

Hi @caphesuada ,

Firstly, I was informed by another forum member that I should put up a chart for reference.
Hence I have added an attachment in this reply to explain my reading from the previous response.

I cannot tell if Media industry is the right industry to you from the way I read Bazi. Maybe you can try research based on Feng Shui theories, what element is the Media industry under, and if that is compatible with your earth Day Master. Or maybe guidance from practitioners of other Bazi schools.

But I will say this though: if you are really coming from a position of interest, then continue. Doing something you enjoy is a happier life than say...chasing after superficial wants, unless that is your thing. If you are coming from a position of expressing creativity, then it is safe to continue as well, due to your strong expression element until age 38. Don't worry too much about life after that. You can consult any one who has spent their adulthood working - things will change over time, your views in life, the opportunities, all will keep changing. By age 38, you might have been rotated to a position that is less creative, more management, for example, and then the elements that affect you might be different.

This one I am not so good/confident at yet. I believe there is a way from Ten Gods application perspective that can give an accurate reasoning on whether or not this frequent travel is good for you. I am not quite there yet.

This is my estimation:
  • If you mean sustainable from a expenditure perspective, I can't tell if it is good or bad from your chart, since your wealth luck is generally flat. This year in particular there is a wealth loss (see attachment on reasoning), but since I don't know your business plans and how long this intense travelling will last, so I can't correlate if the wealth loss is a result of travelling or not.
  • If you mean sustainable from a "I will miss home" perspective, then you have to make sure the Ding 丁 and Wu 午 fire in your chart remain unharmed. Support elements (fire for you), also means home. On years and months where fire is harmed, you will most likely miss life back at home the most.
  • If you mean sustainable as in "can I maintain a go-getter attitude?", then it should be sustained with the metal luck until 2036. Metal, as an expression element, also gives you that "go-go-go!" , "ok, let's do it!" attitude/energy.

Dear @aeonrel , thank you again for the clear explanation!

Yes actually one of the reason on why I am joining this media job is because I am trying to explore myself and my interests. However, as I am working with it, I enjoy the job and wish to explore deeper and mastering my field.

Once again, thank you for your explanation! Have a good weekend!  ;D

Hey @caphesuada ,

Haha...so happened I learnt about travelling from answering another thread.
And thought it would be applicable here, so I came back to check.

Seems like you do have higher traveling luck during this 10-year luck pillar.
Due to the presence of the 寅 in your natal chart, there is a "travelling horse" phenomenon, governed by 申, according to traditional bazi rules.
You current 10-year luck pillar is a 申 pillar.
Probably the reason why you have frequent travels during this period.

This 10-year cycle ends in 2026.
So likely after 2026, you would see less travels until age 49.

Apologies for late reply, @aeonrel and thank you for the insight!

I guess that's why I move around quite often, I mean started to travel a lot since 2016 until now (before that I was only staying in my hometown)
Guess that makes sense if it's aligned with my chart.

I am just curious, after 2026, where will I be? Indonesia? or Vietnam? (Although I wish I stay in Vietnam hahaha)

By the way, happy weekend!

@caphesuada ,

I don't think Bazi can tell you so specifically down to the precise location  :-\

At least not to my knowledge...

Hello! Sorry for late reply! let me answer your questions!
1. Media here is Advertisement (technically we put ads to films and movies) but in this role, I am doing the ops (sth like key account executive)
2. Yes it's an FnB. I sell foods.
3. Nope I am not.
4. Yes I love seas more than mountains. Well technically I am living in an island right now (Batam, Indonesia)
5. Exactly!
6. I studied Hospitality tho. And if you are asking whether I am educated in Finance, then it's a no.
7. I have a small mole on my cheek (but it's red colored)
8. Currently kinda thinking to stop the side business since it's not profitable yet.

Cheers! Once again sorry for super late reply!
