凡占求财，最忌兄爻持世。
Every divination on seeking money (wealth), the most fearful is to (find) a Brother on to Shi/ self line.
此卦忌临世位，当主无财，幸寅木父母动而生世，然父母爻者，非金银也，乃货物耳，求金银则不能，货物必得。
In this hexagram when something fearful exist in Shi/ self line, act as the owner not having money, lucky Yin wood Parent is moving line that give birth to Shi/ self line, so parents line, even not from gold and silver, but only good valuable things are handled up, is not capable for seeking gold and silver, but valuable things going to come.
果于寅日得匹缎等物。
Indeed on Yin wood Day obtaining a pair of high class satin clothes.
应寅日者，父爻出空之日也。
Must reach the Yin wood Day, were Parents [1st line] will come out of Emptiness (Kong Wang).
卦遇凶星，避之则吉。
The Gua (hexagram ) meet an inauspicious star, if avoiding it then luck will follow.
旧注，凡值用神空亡，遇日月动爻冲克者，谓之避空，反不遭其冲克之害。
An old comment says, whatever valuable {or} Useful God (Yongshen) is in empty days, meeting with a moving line with Month or Day by Clash (Chong) and subduing, it is said that escaping from Emptiness (Kong) [this way],  is not taken as a harmful thing.

You are right ... perhaps is not clear if this  Case example 10 is really seeking or waiting for money ..!!!
probably is waiting ... so Parent Yin yao is Yong Shen. ..
But the central meaning is focused on what the old comment says:

The only valuable in this case is parent yin 1st moving   Line that is empty ....

I'm afraid the explanation from classics is confusing on this case.

应寅日者，父爻出空之日也。
Must reach Yin Wood Day, were Parents will come out of void (Kong Wang).

It's said that the Ji Shen (Annoying God) is Sibling line, which I agree.  This means Parent line is the Chou Shen (Hostile God), because Parent produces Sibling line.  So actually, in my opinion, reaching the Yin wood Day is not auspicious, because Chou Shen becomes out of void (Kong Wang).

Moreover, the Fire Ji Shen is also strong by the Month (Wu Fire).

So the outcome out of this divination is not auspicious, because seeking or expecting gold and silver (money in ancient time), but the diviner only obtained satin clothes.

I have another point to make:

旧注，凡值用神空亡，遇日月动爻冲克者，谓之避空，反不遭其冲克之害。
Old commentary: Useful God (Yongshen) in Void (Kong Wang), meeting a moving line/Month/Day that clashes or overcomes it, this is called avoiding Void (Kong Wang),  so actually Yong Shen does not suffer from the clash or overcoming.

Yes, I agree and use this old commentary.  But I don't see how this is applicable in this case, because Yong hen is Cai (Wealth).  Cai is Fourth line You Metal, is it in Kong Wang in the first place?

The problem with the classics is that they don't explain the whole situation clearly in the beginning, so we may misunderstand the question.  Dao's question about "what is the question" is valid.  Different questions lead to different Yong Shen and analysis.

Ok, I'm now rushing for a busy Chinese New Year day...  we exchange gold and silver today in red packets!

I agree that it s confusing, For me I add that the Shi sheng is on the first line and the Ying Sheng is on the six line, so it mean No, because materialization of money is not possible at all. How can he have money if the materilization is impossible ? The moving first line only make the situation worse. And of course self and object line on brother  line is the very bad sign at first place. Would add that he is on the black tortoise. So for me it s a big No , the realization is impossible. The satin thing only is to produce him as a brother , not as him having money. The satin thing is not money but an object with some value but not the money itself.

He asked: ?What can I do to raise a family?? I said: ?Wood producing fire to be prosperous. Wood fire is brightly lit, your mind is ingenious. Moreover, Red Phoenix at Father [which indicates] a writing brush-and-inkstone [i.e. clerical] livelihood.?

後因叔父作衙門。命之貼寫。得上人之意。僅可度日。而財不聚。叔父提拔者。應寅木父爻生世。又是筆硯營生。
Later, because his uncle works at a government office, instructed him to keep writing out a superior s thinking. [But] only can eke out a struggling existence, with wealth not gathering. His uncle helping his advancement [because] response is in Y?n(t) wood Father line producing Subject, it also [indicates] a writing brush-and-inkstone livelihood.
