Well... Few days ago we talked about that with a friend and he said the same... But Puppylove had examples of divination for world leaders and it came out correct(the North Korea example if you remember from some years ago)... Jack Chiu had very accurate predictions about sport games that didn't involve anyone he knew(not counting fans I guess as I do know people that live in UK).

Currently, I'm supporting the idea that we can, only it needs a lot more research into how to make the line assignment.
But if time goes by and it seems it doesn't work will rethink it, I don't have many examples of asking for not related peoples, so can't say for sure.

Interesting. I believe that, rather than having a relationship or link to the person/issue/matter, which could be associated with the controversial theory of resonance, it is more important to have a sincere desire to know, how relevant the issue is to us. Although I think that, when comparing the accuracy of a prediction, probably, that a person directly involved would make the casting, would get better accuracy than another indirectly involved or not involved, but again the aspect of the mind is what lies behind it.

“He is in extremely good spirits,” the statement added.

I think that is definitely a possibility.
It does make sense, also it seems fair, why would we get an answer if we don't really need to know.

Day Pillar was Ren Wu.  Analyzing one Day Pillar requires quite some work.
1) Ren bridges the clash of Geng against Jia Officer. 
2) Wu Horse is clashed by Zi (Annual Pillar), but on Wu day, Wu Horse is at its strongest, so it can withstand the clash. 
3) On the other hand, Zi is also very weak on Wu Horse day.
4) Wei is harmed by Zi (Annual Pillar), but Wei is not activated in Ren Wu day.  So Wei is not harmed on this day.
5) Geng (Annual Pillar) that clashes Jia Officer is at its weakest "season" on Wu Horse day.

I skip a couple more things... The focus actually lies on how Wu Horse and Wei are doing.  In sum: there are enough reasons to believe that Ren Wu day was not his inauspicious day at all.
