Using Qimen, how do I get the outcome I want?
Kat-metaphysics:
I'm new to Qimen and still learning Bazi at the moment. How can I use qimen to make an outcome favourable to me? Also where can I learn to read it?
Thanx

I wondered about the same question too.
In my case, I have arrived at a point where I can see some kind of patterns in my life.
A bad year in the past decade has a similar pattern/form when analyzed with Bazi and ZWDS with another year this decade.
I can accurately predict when I will lose money, gain money and how much. But I don't know where they come from (which jobs/which investments) and how they get out (illness/shopping/travel needs).
I think it's possible to get the outcome I want as long as it's still within the constraints of my bad fortune. In short, mitigation or workarounds. For example, I want the money to come from career not my long-term, non-liquid investment. I want to lose the money from traveling, not illness.
But I'm not sure it's possible to get the outcome however I want (turning a bad year into a good one). I know I'm supposed to lose 10% of my savings at the end of the year, but I want to increase it by 10% instead. I wonder if Feng Shui or Qimen can help with something like this?
I mean, geomancy. The technique to manipulate the energy in our surroundings. Not colors of our clothes or accessories or amulets. I believe our health is tied to our house/real estate luck. If our house is dilapidated, it will reflect to our quality of life in terms of health and relationship. So I guess geomancy may have significant impact when applied properly.

Hey Guys,
My understanding is that QMDJ is good for strategic planning. It can also be useful for date selection, fate reading, divination. ...
It is often used for aligning one's intentions and action appropriately when preparing for important events like negotiations, interviews, financial decisions, etc.

Qimen Dunjia (奇門遁甲) is a powerful metaphysical system often used for divination, strategy, and decision-making. To use Qimen effectively to make an outcome favorable:
1. **Understand the Basics**:
- **Structure**: Learn the fundamental components of a Qimen chart, including the eight gates (门), nine stars (星), nine palaces (宫), and the heavenly stems (天干).
- **Formation of Charts**: Understand the type of chart you're using (e.g., Hourly, Daily) and how to interpret it based on your situation.
2. **Identify Your Objective**:
- Clearly define what you want to achieve, such as success in negotiations, resolving conflicts, or improving relationships.
- Identify your "Guardian Deity" or auspicious palaces/stars/gates related to your goal in the chart.
3. **Timing and Direction**:
- Use Qimen to determine the best time to act or the best direction to face. For example, find a favorable palace associated with your action and align your efforts accordingly.
4. **Leverage the Elements**:
- Understand the interaction between elements (五行) in the chart. Favorable elements and their positions can guide you to better decisions.
5. **Strategic Moves**:
- Once you've analyzed the chart, make moves aligned with its insights. For instance, if a certain palace represents your opponent and shows weakness, you can strategize to capitalize on that.
### Learning Resources
To learn to read Qimen charts effectively:
1. **Books**:
- *"Qi Men Dun Jia: Strategic Executions and Applications"* by Joey Yap.
- *"奇門遁甲入門"* (Qimen Dunjia for Beginners) by various Chinese authors.
2. **Courses**:
- Joey Yap's Mastery Academy offers courses ranging from beginner to advanced levels.
- Online courses from traditional masters (often found on platforms like YouTube, Udemy, or specialized metaphysics schools).
3. **Software and Tools**:
- Use Qimen chart plotting software or apps to practice reading charts (e.g., Qimen apps by Joey Yap or Chinese Metasoft).
4. **Practice**:
- Start by plotting simple scenarios and interpreting charts to build your understanding. Compare your interpretations with known outcomes to refine your skills.

Qimen is the path of Gods and demigods. If you cross the path of God, you will die. Therefore, write a will in advance. If you have a bad time according to BaZi, you cannot fix it. Only compensate according to Wu Xing. Search here, six months ago a woman from South Korea appeared who was wondering about moving to the southern hemisphere. What everyone except me advised her. And what she eventually called them. Full reading of such forums is very productive.
