Date Selection
« on: March 28, 2022, 10:50:49 AM »
Lately we are moving more info Date Selections types of systems.

It seems interesting to start a topic about that here as well. I wonder... Blindstyle no matter what derivative we use is somewhat different then other bazi systems.

So does that change peoples practice of Date Selection?Traditionally it seems that clash with the year for personalization is consider the most bad factor... Yet if we add 'work done' and other similar dynamic, that could be help in controlling / obtaining the Year...

Considering that I wonder - do people change how they use Date Selection if they apply some form of blindstyle? : )

The other interesting question is are you using Solar TIme for date selection?
I currently am, but I'm interesting who else is. : )

I'm using it as is, currently and it seems to work very nicely. Yet I wonder if it can get even better if we align it more to blindstyle for personalization or not.

P.S. As far as Solar TIme goes, its fair to mention that for working with world maps(stuff like leaflet),
there are free alternatives to most functions one may need. And while some may be difficult to make(like our own tile server - even though possible, but may end up paying for one more hosting) some are very easy if people just have to choose or see place of birth. Can even be done offline, as long as we don't require too high level of zoom.

Hi Gmuli, if the HOUR is also relevant, I do use the solar time for date selection, for example with QMDJ.

One of my regular clients moves from city to city, or country to country. So, I have to adjust the timing of action based on their location. For example, in city A, they would take the action at 7:05-9:05 for the Chen hour. But in city B, they would take the action at 8:10-10:10 also for Chen hour.

I'm starting with basic Tong Shu stuff, so far it seems. There is hour stars and stuff, but they are printed in the calendars it seems.
Will see where it goes from here. : )
QMDJ... I took a brake some time ago, planning on checking the seminars from one of the big schools out there someday, possibly. As it seems the available material in books, isn't enough in my humble view. It works somewhat, but there is a feeling something is missing.
