Property Rental
« on: July 31, 2023, 10:39:52 AM »
I bought a small property for investment and finding it not as easy to rent out as expected. Especially with several similar units in the same project looking for tenants.

Could someone be so kind as to help read when it will likely be rent out and are there any details I've overlooked that is holding back why this unit isn't as attractive?

We can try with gain and loss. Don't take it too seriusly, still trying to see if it works. : )

You are on Self. Income from renting the condo is on the Asset line.

Asset line is hiddenly moving. It produces you. There is relation.
Yet you fall in the Asset branch.

Suggesting being 'lost' in the price. Meaning for some reason the price is too important and that makes it difficult for it to produce you and 'gain it'.

Short answer - it may not happen, as even though produce shold be 'gain' in this case it seems too weak to actually 'end up with it'. Also nothing moving clearly, so nothing changes.
Possible reason - price you expect is too high or you view the condo as too valuable for some reason(can't let go etc.). Another possibly reason - you may actually still need it(falling in it as being taken by something encompassing, doesn't mean good or bad by itself)

What can you do. See why the condo is viewed as 'too valuable' to let go of, either the price is high or something else prevents you from letting go. If you do another reading may be different in some time I guess. : )

Hi, you are right in a way that I was lost in the price. It was more of the profile of the tenant. I had 3 serious offers the first 2 weeks when I marketed the unit. For the 1st 2 tenants, I rejected their price and wanted more. For eg, the 1st tenant has a young child and I was worried the child may damage more items and for such a small property, it may not be as well taken care of so I asked for a price which they did not accept.

For the 3rd one, everything was agreed except that the tenant wanted to rent using the son's name and the son is based overseas so I was uncomfortable base on that and rejected it.

However, I just rented it out for the price that I didn't think I would when I first started marketing the unit solely because I like the current tenant's profile.

So yes, I've let go of the pricing to get a suitable profile. Let me know if you want to know more info to verify with your reading.

And thank you for your help! :)

This is a separate question from my initial one. After going through buying of houses twice, renting once and even renting out my own place. I realised I do have an interest in property.

Would you be able to help and do a reading as to if it's a good career choice for me to go into it?

Thanks!!

Ahh, wrong reading then. No point doing more, no affinity and all. Sadly it does happen, even more so in forums. : )
