The Yong Shen for votes is the Sibling line, as I wrote a few years ago in the other forum: French Election - Macron or Le Pen will be new president (https://fivearts.info/fivearts/index.php?topic=15046.msg162479#msg162479)
The Sibling line is Hai Water, which exists within the Month, so it's strong all right, but not strong enough to rank the first (ovecome by Day).
It's natural to have a confusion with regard to the Self line with this kind of hexagram. Self line represents yourself, Sacrar. However, I presume you are no party functionary and thus have no importance for this divination.

- What you are enquiring is not the achievement of an official position, which would have Officer as Yong Shen. --> Tientai has posted a few case studies on this topic (from the classics 增刪卜易 Zeng Shan Bu Yi).
- What you are enquiring is the achievement of number of seats, therefore Siblings would fit it better.
Let's see the image of this party:
Siblings Hai combines with Yin at the first line as Offspring, coming with White Tiger. Offspring means political aspirations, while the first line is foundation. The party has a right-wing ideology?

I think we must place a distinction on which is Self and Other on this Hexagram ...
Placing as:
Self == what the Poll company says ..political party reach the 45 seats ?
Other == expecting Maximum ?
Then every moving line favours ( producing ) Other 6th Parent line ..
Even if Yin child Wood 1st line is out of kongwang ..
I agree with @JLim what the siblings is ...
Other 6th line Metal seems unmoving but has a "tendency " on producing 5th line siblings Hai water in upper trigram ..

To be more sure, we can use the confirmation of the Siblings line itself. As you have also observed, Siblings comes with Gou Chen (worm) and Gou Chen is conservatism.
Since this party turns out to be right-wing, it's correct that Siblings is the Yong Shen.
By the way, Gou Chen can also be nationalism, and nationalism in Europe tends to be right-wing too. The reason for Gou Chen's association: Gou Chen represents land, home land, and by extension nationalism.

Good point, it is important especially for beginners to establish that it is Self and that is Other. I do not remember well what I thought before the casting. But it could be Self: political party, Other: result achieved. Therefore, Parents could be seen as number of seats and this comes with parents and parents is related to results so it makes sense.
I think the hexagram has multiple readings and perspectives of analysis and adapts to the framework of each person.
