Not necessarily so.  For example, if the Spouse Star is entombed, but then Tomb is opened, then there is no jail punishment towards Spouse.

Like in the above chart of Margaret Thatcher.  Xu is Fire Tomb or Officer Tomb.  But you can check the biography that her husband had no jail punishment or injury.  He (Denis Thatcher) did serve in the war, but anyway he had retired from the military before marrying Margaret.

You must also look at other things, especially the Spouse Palace.  The Spouse Palace Wu Fire is certainly not damaged.

Interesting chart. Chances of spouse in trouble is not obvious here. Wealth lp seem ro bring trouble and opportunity to her.

Like in the above chart of Margaret Thatcher.  Xu is Fire Tomb or Officer Tomb.
In her chart there are TWO Spouse Stars. One in Xu and the second in Wu (her DM sits on it and Wu is Romance Star for her).
But she had only ONE husband.

Her husband die on June 2003 gui wei. Happened to clash her chou. Seem to clash away her spouse.
Wei from 2003 formed in her chart San Xing Wei-Chou-Xu. I think this was the indication of the death of her husband.

Yes, Newman, Margaret Thatcher's chart uses Bing.  Not only Bing but also Si, so even better.  Both are Authority/Power.

Xin represents her colleagues/co-workers, because Xin is Parallel Star.  Among the work processes that Bing and Si do is controlling Xin.  Read: controlling or have authority over her colleagues/co-workers, so she becomes the leader.

Thank you JLim for your sharing. Her Xin si is also a self transform pillar. She has great control over her colleague and those under her.  Her chart was born to lead.
