Title: Stablish life phases/stage by Month?
Post by: Sacrar on July 13, 2022, 07:07:34 PM
Does it make sense to establish life phases (Shí Èr Cháng Sheng) by month?

It is normal to set them by the day. But I think I read somewhere that setting them by month might make more sense as it covers a longer period of time and a month is a more stable structure.

What would be more appropriate, does anyone use monthly here, and can you share your experience on whether it is accurate?

From Alfred Kee's 1st book there comes the idea that both day and month pillar give strength to the lines. For me this might indicate that it makes sense that both of them always carry information.

So I would think that looking at day gives information that is closer to the actual question, how the situation is flowing at that point in time. And month gives a more global kind of information. Perhaps not directly usable in actions, but usable for understanding deeper aspects related to this question. Kind of like inner hexagram.

Makes me wonder whether hour and year branch can also be used for stuff.
