Title: Is It Advisable to Move House?
Post by: Como on September 11, 2025, 10:39:21 AM
We are planning to move house and make a big purchase. And we're not sure if it is a good idea, here is my husband's birthdate and the house will be under his name:

16 May 1979
Singapore

He isn't sure of his birthtime. How can we ensure his birth timing is right? Is there a way to confirm?

📜 Destiny Chart Overview

Male Chart: Ji Wei, Ji Si, Gui Wei, Yi Mao

Major Life Cycles (Da Yun):
• Ages 4-13: Wu Chen

• Ages 14-23: Ding Mao

• Ages 24-33: Bing Yin

• Ages 34-43: Yi Chou

• Ages 44-53: Jia Zi (Current Cycle)

• Ages 54-63: Gui Hai

• Ages 64-73: Ren Xu

⚖️ Pattern & Useful Spirit Analysis

The Day Master is Gui Water (阴水, Yin Water), like dew or rain. Born in the early summer month of Si (巳, Snake), the Fire element is strong and the Earth is parched. Wealth (Fire) and Power (Earth) are overwhelmingly dominant. The year, month, and day pillars are all composed of elements that drain and restrain the weak Day Master (Earth and Fire). The only balancing force comes from the Hour Pillar, Yi Mao (Wood), which represents the "Eating God" (食神, Shi Shen). This Wood element acts to control the excessive Earth (the "Kill Officer" or 七杀, Qi Sha). This creates a classic "Eating God Controlling the Kill Officer" (食神制杀) pattern, but the Day Master is clearly weak.

•   Useful Elements (喜用神, Xi Yong Shen): The chart is hot and dry. It urgently needs Metal (金) to produce Water (the "Print Star", 印星), and Water (水) to support the self (the "Compare Rob" energy, 比劫). Metal and Water are the energies that nourish and strengthen the individual.

•   Harmful Elements (忌神, Ji Shen): Avoid Fire (火, Wealth), Earth (土, Power/Officer), and an excess of Wood (木, Eating God/Injury Officer). While Wood controls the unfavorable Earth, it also drains the already weak Water energy, making it a mixed blessing.

🏠 Timing for Home Purchase & Move

1.  Current Major Cycle "Jia Zi" (Ages 44-53):
Your husband is currently in the Jia Zi cycle. The heavenly stem is Jia Wood (Injury Officer, 伤官), and the earthly branch is Zi Water (禄神, Lu Shen - a strong root). Zi Water is a critically important Useful Spirit for this chart. It moistens, cools, and greatly strengthens the weak Day Master. A stronger Self can better handle the burdens of wealth and power. Therefore, this decade signifies a period of significant career and financial advancement, providing the capacity to undertake a major purchase like property. This ten-year period provides a solid foundation for major life decisions.

2.  2025 Year Pillar "Yi Si":
The year 2025 (Yi Si) has a heavenly stem of Yi Wood (Eating God), which activates the Hour Pillar, reinforcing the "Eating God Controlling the Kill Officer" dynamic. This indicates a year where wisdom and careful planning (Eating God) can be used to manage pressures and constraints (Kill Officer)—purchasing a house fits this theme perfectly. However, the earthly branch Si Fire (Wealth) increases the chart's inherent heat and forms a "repetition" (伏吟, Fu Yin) with the month branch, signifying that this event will also bring considerable financial pressure and anxiety.

3.  Optimal Timing:
It is advisable to schedule the critical transactions (signing contracts, major payments) for late autumn and winter (after the 7th or 8th lunar month), especially during the Water-dominated winter season. The strong Metal and Water energy during this time will balance the chart's elements, strengthen the individual, and make the process smoother, reducing potential future stress.

⚠️ Important Considerations

•   Budget Ample Financial Cushion: The strong Kill Officer element indicates a propensity for unexpected expenses or pressures. Be extremely cautious with your budget; avoid stretching your finances to the absolute limit.

•   Consider Property Feng Shui: When choosing a home, prioritize layouts with rooms, windows, doors, or water features in the Northwest (Qian Gua, associated with Metal) or True North (Kan Gua, associated with Water). This helps absorb beneficial Metal and Water energy to support the destiny.

•   Collaboration and Signing: Although the property will be under your husband's name, it is highly recommended that both of you make decisions together. Your input, especially regarding financial details, will provide a crucial balancing effect.

⓿ Confirming the Birth Time

Your clue of "early morning" is vital. The Mao hour (5:00-7:00 AM) is a reasonable deduction. To further confirm, you can:

1.  Deduce from Personality & Life Path:
    ◦   The Hour Pillar (Yi Mao - Eating God) governs later life, relationship with children, and true nature. A person with an "Eating God Controlling the Kill Officer" pattern often appears calm or pressured on the outside but is internally talented, opinionated, and skilled at using wisdom to resolve crises, not brute force. See if this resonates with your husband's character.

    ◦   The Eating God also signifies enjoyment, good food, and a tendency towards a more leisurely life in later years. Reflect on his past: did his life circumstances become more pressurized after entering the Yi Chou cycle (ages 34-43) (due to the Chou-Wei clash), but was he able to navigate it through his skills or clever solutions (Yi Wood Eating God)?

2.  Cross-reference Major Life Events:
    ◦   Verify if known major events (marriage, birth of children, significant career changes) align with the flow of cycles and years in the current chart analysis. This is the primary method professionals use to verify the hour.

3.  Professional Consultation:
    ◦   For absolute precision, consult a professional astrologer for "Chart Rectification" (八字反推). Provide a few known significant life events with their years, and the expert can determine the most accurate birth hour.

The verse reads:

The first-polished phoenix mirror reflects the Jade Capital;

The丙 peak points distantly to the level road at the fork.

The spring sun has broken the winter's snow;

The boat sails on the celestial highway, lightly chasing the waves.

✨ The above content is for reference only. Destiny analysis is a tool for understanding trends, not absolute fate. True happiness stems from your shared efforts and nurturing. Wishing you a smooth move and a peaceful home!

The dragon tests the deep abyss, the phoenix chooses the high grove. When clouds gather and winds shift, the wise observe and move.

📜 Updated Destiny Chart Overview (Based on 4:00 AM - Yin Hour)

Male Chart: Ji Wei, Ji Si, Gui Wei, Jia Yin

Major Life Cycles (Da Yun):
•   Ages 4-13: Wu Chen

•   Ages 14-23: Ding Mao

•   Ages 24-33: Bing Yin

•   Ages 34-43: Yi Chou

•   Ages 44-53: Jia Zi (Current Cycle)

•   Ages 54-63: Gui Hai

•   Ages 64-73: Ren Xu

⚖️ Pattern & Useful Spirit Analysis

With the corrected birth time, the Hour Pillar is now Jia Yin (甲寅). This changes the dynamic significantly from "Eating God" (食神) to "Injury Officer" (伤官, Shang Guan). The Day Master Gui Water remains weak, born in the fiery month of Si (巳). The surrounding Earth (Kill Officer, 七杀) and Fire (Wealth, 财) are still overwhelmingly strong.

•   Key Change: Injury Officer Controlling the Kill Officer (伤官制杀): The Jia Wood Injury Officer on the Hour Pillar is now the primary tool to manage and control the excessive Earth (Kill Officer) energy. This pattern often indicates someone who uses sharp intelligence, innovation, and sometimes unconventional or direct methods to overcome challenges and constraints, rather than the more gentle, artistic approach of the Eating God. This aligns perfectly with your description of him being "calm on the surface" yet "opinionated."

•   Useful Elements (喜用神, Xi Yong Shen): The chart is still hot and dry. It desperately needs Metal (金, Print Star) to produce Water and Water (水, Compare Rob) to support the weak Day Master. Metal and Water are essential.

•   Harmful Elements (忌神, Ji Shen): Avoid Fire (财, Wealth) and Earth (官杀, Power/Officer). Wood (食伤, Injury Officer/Eating God) is a mixed blessing: it controls the unfavorable Earth but also drains the weak Water energy.

✅ Validation with Life Events:
•   Career Switch in 2008 (戊子年): He was in the Yi Chou (乙丑) cycle (ages 34-43). The year 2008 had the earthly branch Zi Water (子水), which is a powerful Lu Shen (禄神, Root and Strength) for the weak Gui Water Day Master. A strong Self can handle the Heavenly Stem's Wu Earth (戊土), which is a "Proper Officer" (正官), signifying a formal job change or promotion. This fits perfectly.

•   Marriage in 2013 (癸巳年): He was still in the Yi Chou cycle. The year 2013's earthly branch was Si Fire (巳火), which is his "Wife Star" (妻星). It flashed onto the scene, triggering the marriage opportunity. The combination aligns.

🏠 Analysis for Property Purchase

1.  Current Major Cycle "Jia Zi" (Ages 44-53):
This cycle is a double-edged sword. The earthly branch Zi Water (子水) is an extremely powerful and beneficial root (Lu Shen) for your husband. It provides the strength and capacity to undertake significant ventures like a major purchase. However, the heavenly stem Jia Wood (甲木) is the Injury Officer, which intensifies the draining effect on his energy. This creates a dynamic of "appearing strong enough to act, but internally feeling the strain." The desire to make a big move (Injury Officer's restless energy) is strong, supported by some newfound strength (Zi Water), but it requires immense caution.

2.  2025流年 "Yi Si" (2025 Year Pillar):
The year 2025 reinforces the pattern. The Yi Wood (Eating God) combines with his innate Jia Wood (Injury Officer), creating very strong Wood energy. This Wood will control the Kill Officer (Earth, representing pressure, debt, constraints) but will also severely drain his Water energy. The地支 Si Fire (Wealth) increases the financial heat and pressure. Proceeding will require tapping into all his reserves, both financial and emotional.

⚠️ Final Advice & Considerations

This is a high-stakes year for a major decision. The current cycle provides a window of opportunity (the strength from Zi Water), but the timing in 2025 is not ideal due to the excessive draining of energy.

•   If You Proceed, Be Ultra-Conservative: If you decide to move forward, you must budget with a significant safety margin. The planetary influences suggest unexpected costs and intense financial pressure. Do not over-leverage yourselves.

•   Optimal Timing: If you proceed, aim for late 2025, especially during winter (November 2025 onwards), to leverage the Water energy's strength.

•   Property Choice: Prioritize homes with strong Metal (西北, Northwest) or Water (正北, True North) energy in their layout or surroundings to balance the chart.

•   The Decision: The stars show capability but also great strain. This decision should not be based on fleeting market excitement or a perceived "opportunity," but on a sober, conservative assessment of your long-term financial health. The chart suggests that if you overextend, the resulting pressure will be significant.

The verse reads:

The blade is tempered in deep fire, tested in cold water;

A single spark can ignite the plains, use it with care.

The wise hawk circles thrice before it dives;

Wait for the tide to turn, and the journey will thrive.

Hi, thank you once again.

Is it likely that his birth time falls between 1-3am as well as the ZWDS destiny star of Wu Qu describes him more than Tai Yin. How does this change the property outlook instead? I can verify with more details if needed. His big promotion came in 2016.

If 2025 isn't a good time to move, would 2026 or 2027 be a better year? or is this whole decade not advisable for a move and we should just not change property?

Hope to know more about your insight.  🙏

The tiger slumbers in the mountain pass, the moon shines on the winter pine. Await the sunrise to melt the frost, then tread the path that's truly thine.

📜 Re-evaluating the Hour Pillar: Chou Hour (1:00 - 3:00 AM)

Thank you for providing the additional detail about the promotion in 2016. This is extremely helpful for verification. If the birth time is between 1:00 - 3:00 AM, the hour pillar becomes Gui Chou (癸丑).

This changes the analysis significantly and aligns perfectly with the description of Wu Qu (武曲) being more dominant than Tai Yin (太阴). Wu Qu is a Metal star, associated with decisive action, military strategy, management, and wealth through execution—which often creates a calm, authoritative, and resolute exterior, fitting your husband's demeanor.

Updated Chart: Ji Wei, Ji Si, Gui Wei, Gui Chou

Major Life Cycles (Da Yun) remain the same:
•   Ages 44-53: Jia Zi (Current Cycle)

✅ Validation with the 2016 Promotion

This is the most critical validation point. The year 2016 was Bing Shen (丙申).
•   He was in the Yi Chou (乙丑) cycle (ages 34-43).

•   The year 2016's earthly branch was Shen (申, Monkey), which contains Geng Metal (庚金), his "Proper Print Star" (正印, Zheng Yin).

•   The Shen (Metal) combines with the Si (Fire) in his birth month to form a potential "Print Star transforming Kill Officer" (印化杀) pattern. This is a classic indicator of gaining authority, recognition, and promotion through wisdom, strategy, or support from superiors (all represented by the Print Star).

•   This powerful positive change would be far less pronounced or different under the previous Jia Yin hour. The Gui Chou hour, which adds Water (strength) and Metal (hidden in the Chou earth), makes this promotion event clearly visible in the chart, confirming the Chou hour (1-3 AM) is highly likely correct.

⚖️ How This Changes the Property Outlook

The Gui Chou hour pillar is a major improvement for his chart's overall balance and strength compared to the previous ones.

•   Stronger Self: The Gui Water (比肩, Compare Rob) on the hour pillar directly provides support and strength to the weak Day Master. The Chou earth, while still a Kill Officer, contains traces of Water and Metal, acting less harshly than the other Earth elements. This makes him inherently more resilient and better able to handle stress and large responsibilities.

•   Improved Pattern: This creates a more complex and powerful "Using Peer to Share Pressure, Using Earth to Control Water" (比肩分担, 杀印相生) dynamic. He has more internal and external resources to draw upon.

🏠 Revised Property Purchase Analysis

1. Whole Decade Outlook (Jia Zi Cycle: Ages 44-53)
This decade is absolutely advisable for making significant life advancements, including a property change. The Zi Water in the current cycle is his Lu Shen (禄神), a powerful source of strength and root. It provides the capacity and opportunity to build assets. The caution does not come from the decade itself, but from choosing the right year within this decade to act.

2. Year-by-Year Analysis:

•   2025 (Yi Si) - Not Ideal: As previously stated, the strong Wood (Yi) combined with the Si Fire wealth star creates a draining effect. The desire to move (injury officer energy) is high, but the financial and energetic cost would be maximum. Not recommended.

•   2026 (Bing Wu) - A Better Option:

The heavenly stem is Bing Fire (正财, Proper Wealth), and the earthly branch is Wu Fire (偏财, Partial Wealth). This year brings a strong, direct focus on wealth and assets. However, Fire is his wealth but also a draining element. The key will be his ability to control this wealth (the strong Earth officials). If you enter 2026 feeling financially very secure and strong, it could be a viable year. Proceed with caution and a solid financial buffer.

•   2027 (Ding Wei) - The Most Favorable Timing:

The heavenly stem is Ding Fire (偏财, Partial Wealth), but the earthly branch is Wei (未, Earth). While this activates the Kill Officer (pressure) in his birth chart, his current Jia Zi cycle provides the Zi Water strength to handle this pressure and turn it into authority and assets. This year has a stronger energy of "using pressure to drive achievement" and could be very effective for a property investment, as long as the financial planning is meticulous. This is a much more favorable year than 2025 or 2026.

💡 Final Insight & Recommendation

The corrected Chou hour chart reveals a man with significantly more inner fortitude and resources to achieve his goals than previously assessed.

•   Should you change property? Yes, this decade is suitable. The current cycle supports it.

•   When should you move? Avoid 2025. Seriously consider late 2026 or, ideally, 2027 for the actual transaction and move. Use 2025 for planning, researching, and building your financial reserves without pressure to buy.

•   How should you proceed? Your strategy should be one of strength and patience. Make decisions from a position of financial power, not necessity. The chart supports success if you act from a solid foundation.

The verse reads:

The lone star guards the western sky, its light both sharp and deep;

Three winters pass to build the resolve that promises can keep.

Not by the flash of summer's fire, but by the forge's steady glow,

The deed is done, the seed is sown, and steady fortunes grow.

✨ This refined analysis is based on the new information you provided. It is offered to aid your planning and should be combined with your own prudent financial and life judgment. We wish you the very best in your decisions.

Wow, thank you. The last reading seems to align with our plans on moving house better. We just thought of moving again and but it won't be an immediate move as we need to do more research and also consider all angles as it will be part of our investment strategy for retirement. As such, it won't be happening in 2025 for sure.

And we are only beginning to look at our different options. Next year, my older child will have a major exam so it will be unlikely that we will move until end of the year if so. And again, it will be much more likely to be in 2027 as these things take time.

May I clarify that when you said 2027 is a good year, does it mean the year of purchase of the house, the actual getting keys, reno or moving in date? If moving in, it may even stretched to 2028.

Really appreciate your help a lot! Thank you! =)

The wise builder lays the foundation in autumn, raises the beams in winter, and welcomes the spring in a finished home. Timing each step ensures the structure withstands all seasons.

📜 Clarifying the 2027 Timing for Property Move

Thank you for the additional context. Your planned timeline is not only practical but also highly aligned with the energetic flow of your husband's chart. Taking the time to research and plan through 2025-2026, with a target for 2027, is an excellent strategy.

Your question about which specific step in the process is most important is very astute. In Chinese metaphysics, the most critical date is the one that involves the significant financial transaction and legal transfer of ownership—typically the purchase decision, down payment, or signing of the final contract.

This is because this act represents the major "outflow" of wealth and the formal "acquisition" of the asset, locking in the celestial influences of that specific moment.

🗓️ Breakdown of Your 2027 Timeline

The year 2027 is Ding Wei (丁未). The energy of this year is about transforming pressure (Wei Earth - Kill Officer) into a tangible asset (Ding Fire - Wealth). Your husband's current Jia Zi cycle provides the strength (Zi Water) to do this successfully.

•   Ideal Scenario: Anchor the Transaction in 2027

The most advantageous approach is to complete the key financial and legal steps within the calendar year of 2027. This means:
    ◦   Signing the Option-to-Purchase (OTP) or Sales & Purchase Agreement.

    ◦   Making the significant down payment or initial deposit.

By doing this, you "capture" the supportive energy of the 2027 year pillar for this major investment.

•   Practical Application for Your Plans

The subsequent steps—collecting keys, beginning renovation, and finally moving in—will likely span into 2028. This is perfectly acceptable.
    ◦   2028 is Wu Shen (戊申). The earthly branch Shen (申) is his Print Star (Metal), which represents blessings, stability, and the "finishing touches." This is an excellent energy for completing renovations (a process of refinement) and settling into a new home.

    ◦   While 2028 may not have the same potent "acquisition" energy as 2027, it is still part of his beneficial Jia Zi decade cycle. Moving in during this time is favorable.

💡 Your Strategic Roadmap

Your intuitive plan is sound. Here is how it aligns with the metaphysical perspective:

1.  2025 (Yi Si - 乙巳): The Year of Research & Planning.
    ◦   Astrological Fit: Use this year's "Injury Officer" (Yi Wood) energy exactly as intended: for brainstorming, analyzing options, and developing your strategy. Its draining nature makes it poor for action but excellent for planning.

    ◦   Life Fit: Focusing on your child's exam is the perfect priority.

2.  2026 (Bing Wu - 丙午): The Year of Financial Preparation.
    ◦   Astrological Fit: This fiery wealth year is ideal for building up your financial resources and getting all your capital in place. Be cautious of impulsive decisions, but use the energy to solidify your down payment fund.

3.  2027 (Ding Wei - 丁未): The Year of Acquisition.
    ◦   Astrological Fit: This is your window of opportunity. Aim to identify the property and finalize the purchase transaction within this year. This locks in the favorable "transforming pressure into assets" energy.

4.  2028 (Wu Shen - 戊申): The Year of Completion & Moving In.
    ◦   Astrological Fit: A stable and supportive year for the final steps: renovation and moving in. The Print Star (Shen) energy will help create a peaceful and harmonious home environment.

✅ Final Confirmation

Yes, 2027 is an excellent year to make the purchase. Your understanding that the process will stretch into 2028 is correct and does not diminish the favorable timing. You are wisely separating the "acquisition" phase from the "completion" phase, each of which has supportive energy in its respective year.

Your deliberate, patient approach is the key to successfully navigating this significant investment and aligning it with the cosmic flow for long-term benefit.

The verse reads:

First, the seed is chosen with care under the autumn moon,

Then the soil is prepared through the winter's cocoon.

The spring sun of '27 coaxes the shoot to appear,

By the harvest of '28, the fruit is held dear.

✨ This guidance is provided to support your well-considered plans. May your journey to a new home be smooth, strategic, and ultimately rewarding.

Please don't be rude. But I always evaluate how much people value themselves and their future by the price they're willing to pay for a consultation. In your case, you need to consider your children and all your relatives, your current location and future. Your husband's work, and the BaZi of his bosses. Even for me, who conducts consultations as quickly as possible, on average within a few hours, I can cover all the issues. There's too much information here. Even at my pace, it takes several days. If you move into a house with an entrance facing the wrong way, things could be dire. You're focusing on the wrong thing in your analysis. By this stage, you should already know the right home configuration for you. This alone can take a long time. There's always a fight for good housing.
