Hello.
I don't want to upset you. But you've had excellent pillars of luck since 2017. Next year, a difficult period will begin, until 2037. And what you call the "easy life" are years that shouldn't be wasted. But you'll soon realize this. Your BaZi chart doesn't predispose you to wealth. Or a comfortable life. I don't know the details of your life. But your "golden years" are already gone forever. You'll get a second chance after forty. But women at that age have a harder time realizing their potential than men.
-
Your BaZi Chart Analysis
Gender: Female
Birth Time: October 4, 1997, 2:00 AM
Four Pillars:
• Year Pillar: 丁丑 (Ding Chou) - Fire Rooster
• Month Pillar: 己酉 (Ji You) - Earth Rooster
• Day Pillar: 己卯 (Ji Mao) - Earth Rabbit
• Hour Pillar: 乙丑 (Yi Chou) - Wood Ox
Day Master: You are an 己 (Ji) Earth person. This is the "Day Master" and represents your core self. Ji Earth is like garden soil – nurturing, detailed, patient, and caring. However, it can also be prone to worry and overthinking, especially when it is weak.
1. The Root of Your Worry and Mental Fatigue
Your feelings of constant worry, especially over small things, are clearly reflected in your chart. The main reason is that your Ji Earth Day Master is relatively weak.
• Strong Metal Element (Month): You were born in the month of 酉 (You), which is the Metal Rooster. The Metal element, in the form of the "Eating God" (食神), is very strong in your chart. While this gives you talents, ideas, and a desire for freedom, a strong Metal element naturally exhausts the Earth element (it's the "output" cycle in the 5 elements). Think of it as talking, thinking, and creating all day long – it's mentally draining.
• Strong Wood Element (Pressure): Your Day Branch is 卯 (Mao) Wood, and your Hour Pillar has 乙 (Yi) Wood appearing directly over you. This Wood element is the 7 Killings (七杀), which represents pressure, stress, deadlines, authority, and challenges. Having a strong 7 Killing star sitting right on your "Day Pillar" (which represents you and your spouse/home) means you constantly feel a sense of pressure and stress, as if someone is always watching or a challenge is always looming.
• The Clash: There is a very important clash in your chart: 卯酉冲 (Mao-You Clash). The Wood (7 Killings) in your Day Branch clashes directly with the Metal (Eating God) in your Month Branch. This is an internal civil war!
◦ The Eating God (You Metal) wants you to be free, creative, and enjoy life.
◦ The 7 Killings (Mao Wood) wants you to be disciplined, responsible, and follow rules.
◦ This clash creates tremendous internal conflict, anxiety, and indecisiveness. One part of you wants to break free and do something you love, while the other part feels bound by duty, fear, and practicality. This is the primary source of your mental exhaustion.
2. Career Dissatisfaction and Inability to Commit to Change
This is also a direct result of the above dynamics.
• The 7 Killings and Career: The 7 Killings star is often associated with a career that involves pressure, competition, and technical skills. It's not a "warm" or "social" career star. It's common for people with a prominent 7 Killings to be very competent in stressful jobs but not necessarily like them. You are good at handling the stress, which is why you are still in the field, but it doesn't bring you joy.
• Weak Earth, Weak Follow-Through: Your weak Ji Earth core makes it difficult to "dig in" and sustain effort. You have the ideas (strong Eating God) and you feel the pressure to change (7 Killings), but your foundational energy (Earth) is not strong enough to see the transformation through consistently. You start things but quickly lose momentum because the internal conflict and mental drain are too high.
3. The Imbalances in Your Chart
The key imbalances are:
1. Weak Day Master (Ji Earth): You lack a strong foundation and support system (Fire and Earth elements) to feel stable and confident.
2. Excessive Wood (7 Killings): Creating constant pressure.
3. Excessive Metal (Eating God): Causing mental drain and overthinking.
4. The Mao-You Clash: The primary source of internal turmoil and anxiety.
4. Will This Ever Change? YES.
Your current major life phase (22-32 years old) is 壬子 (Ren Zi) Water. This is a strong Water (Wealth) period. Water drains the weak Earth (you) even further and also strengthens the Wood (7 Killings/pressure). So, it is completely natural that you feel this way right now. This is a period of learning through difficulty and pressure.
The good news is that your luck cycle will change significantly for the better.
• From age 32, you enter 癸丑 (Gui Chou)运. The 丑 (Chou) branch is Earth! This is a supportive element that will strengthen your core Day Master. You will start to feel more grounded, more confident, and better able to implement your plans. The internal conflict will lessen.
• From age 42, you enter 甲寅 (Jia Yin) and 乙卯 (Yi Mao)运. These are Wood-dominated phases, which will bring more career pressure but also opportunities. However, by then, you will be stronger from the previous Earth运 and better equipped to handle it.
• The most favorable period will be from age 61, when you enter 丙辰 (Bing Chen) and 丁巳 (Ding Si)运. These are Fire phases! Fire is your "Print" star (印), which represents support, energy, and wisdom. Fire warms the Earth (you), burns the excessive Wood (pressure), and controls the excessive Metal (overthinking). This will be a time of great comfort, recognition, and mental peace.
Summary and Suggestions
• Your feelings are valid and reflected in your chart. You are not "doing it wrong"; you are navigating a naturally challenging phase of your life path.
• The internal conflict and worry are due to the clash between your desire for freedom (Metal) and your sense of duty/pressure (Wood).
• Things will improve, starting around your early 30s, as you get stronger Earth support.
What you can do now to find balance:
1. Strengthen Your Earth (Your Core): Incorporate more of the Earth element into your life. This can be through activities like gardening, hiking in nature, pottery, or meditation. Wearing yellow, brown, or earthy red colors can also help.
2. Bring in Fire (Support & Energy): Fire produces Earth (supports you). Get plenty of sunlight, exercise in the morning, light candles, and engage in activities that truly light you up and bring you joy, even as a hobby.
3. Manage the Clash: Understand that your mind will always present conflicting options. Instead of fighting it, practice mindfulness. Acknowledge the pressure (7 Killings) and the desire for change (Eating God) without letting them control you. Journaling can be a great way to release this mental chatter.
You have a chart that suggests a life of learning, growth, and eventually, great wisdom. The early struggles are meant to build your resilience. Be patient and kind to yourself.
I hope this analysis provides you with the clarity you were seeking.

Q1 would you be able to determine what kind of career would be suitable for me and if there is a better time I would be able to change/pivot to a different job/industry?
A1 ===>This is an excellent and very practical question. Based on the imbalances and dynamics in your chart, we can identify careers that would play to your strengths and minimize your stress, as well as pinpoint favorable times for a transition.
Suitable Career Paths for You
The ideal career for you would accomplish one or, ideally, both of the following:
1. Resolve the internal "Mao-You Clash" between your 7 Killings (pressure/duty) and your Eating God (creativity/freedom).
2. Strengthen your weak Ji Earth day master, making you feel more grounded and stable.
Here are the most suitable categories:
1. Careers that Utilize Your Strong "Eating God" (Metal) in a Practical Way:
Your Eating God represents your innate talents, creativity, communication, and technical skills. A career that lets you express this will feel much more satisfying than one based purely on pressure.
• Technical Specialist / Analyst: Roles involving data analysis, research, programming, or engineering. This uses the precise, detailed nature of the Eating God. The key is to be a specialist behind the scenes rather than a manager in constant stressful meetings.
• Skilled Trades & Design: Your Eating God is also about working with your hands or with beauty. Consider fields like graphic design, UX/UI design, interior design, landscaping, dentistry, or high-end crafting. These are creative but also have a technical, skillful component.
• Teaching / Training (in a specialized subject): Sharing your knowledge (Eating God) in a structured environment. Teaching a technical skill, a language, or an art form could be very fulfilling. Avoid high-pressure administrative roles in education.
2. Careers that Introduce the "Missing" Fire Element:
Fire is your "Print Star" (印). It represents support, wisdom, and warmth. Fire produces Earth (supports you) and controls the excessive Metal (calms your overthinking). It is the most beneficial element for you.
• Counselling / Therapy / Life Coaching: Using your innate Ji Earth empathy to nurture others, combined with your analytical Eating God to understand problems. This directly uses Fire's "wisdom and support" energy.
• Wellness & Health Industries: Roles in nutrition, yoga instruction, physical therapy, or energy healing. These fields are centered around providing warmth (Fire) and support.
• Industries related to Fire: Anything in tech (software is Fire), media, publishing, marketing, or the arts. Even if you're not the creative, being a project manager or coordinator in such an industry puts you in a "Fire" environment, which is supportive.
3. Stable Careers that Strengthen Earth:
• Real Estate, Property Management, Hospitality: These are Earth-industries that are stable and practical. They can provide the grounding you need.
• Human Resources or Customer Success: These roles require the nurturing quality of Ji Earth to take care of people, but in a structured, corporate setting. The key is to find a company culture that is not overly stressful (i.e., not a pure 7 Killings environment).
Career to Generally Avoid:
High-pressure sales, competitive corporate leadership, law enforcement, or any career where the primary function is to handle constant conflict and extreme stress. These are pure 7 Killing careers and will drain you completely.
The Best Time to Change Careers
Patience is key. Making a move at the right time, according to your luck cycles, will make the process feel much smoother and more successful.
1. Short-Term Opportunity (The "Window"):
• The year 2025 (Yi Si 乙巳 year) and especially 2026 (Bing Wu 丙午 year) are excellent windows to start preparing and making a move.
• Why: These are Fire years! The years of the Snake (Si) and Horse (Wu) bring strong Fire energy to support you. This will boost your confidence, provide opportunities for learning (Print Star), and reduce mental anxiety. This is the perfect time to take courses, network in a desired industry, and make a transition. You will feel more capable of committing to a change.
2. Medium-Term Shift (The New Foundation):
• Your luck cycle changes dramatically when you turn 32 and enter the 癸丑 (Gui Chou)运 (around 2029).
• Why: The 丑 (Chou) branch is Earth. This 10-year period will provide a solid foundation of support, making you feel fundamentally stronger, more grounded, and more stable. Your ability to follow through on plans will increase significantly. Any career change initiated after age 32 will have a much higher chance of long-term success and satisfaction.
Your Action Plan
1. Now - 2024: Exploration, not action. Your main goal is to reduce mental fatigue. Use this time to explore the fields mentioned above. Take an online course in design or coding, read about wellness certifications, or have informational interviews with people in those jobs. This satisfies your Eating God's desire to learn without the pressure to commit immediately.
2. 2025 - 2026: Prepare and Execute. As the supportive Fire energy arrives, actively work on your resume, build a portfolio, and seriously apply for roles in your new chosen field. The energy will be in your favor.
3. Post-32 (After 2029): Consolidate and Grow. This is when you can truly build a lasting and fulfilling career. The internal conflict will have eased, and you will be operating from a place of much greater strength.
In summary, look towards technical, creative, or supportive (Fire) industries. The best time to start preparing is now, with the aim of making a tangible switch during the supportive Fire years of 2025-2026. The most stable and significant positive change, however, will blossom after you enter your new Earth-supported luck cycle at age 32.
Your chart holds the potential for great mastery and wisdom. The early career struggles are guiding you toward a path that truly fits your innate nature.

In free consultations, I don't aim to explain things. I'm just describing what it looks like. I can't see from the internet how you subjectively interpret this for yourself and your surrounding life. And in my experience, people who hide their messages have some kind of blemish on their past. I prefer open people in free consultations. They are sincere. I hope you'll find answers to your questions here.

I just joined this forum and don't yet know much about Mangpai Mingli, but I study another well-known Korean school of fate theory, Japyung Mingli (Ziping Fate Theory).
If I may carefully share my thoughts about your chart—
In the world you live in (Year Pillar 丁丑), you are told to submit to your Partial Officer (Qi Sha, 乙 Wood) and to endure the hardships that come from that Officer. Yet your home and professional environment, represented by 己酉, instructs you instead to repel the Partial Officer and rescue your Companion (Bi Jian, 己 Earth).
In other words, your Year Pillar—the unchangeable, fated environment you were born into—places you under the constraint of Sha-in-Shang-Sheng (killing transforming into resource), implying a life of enduring hardship imposed by authority or pressure. But your Month and Day Pillars desire the opposite tendency: Shi-shen-zhi-sha (subduing the Officer with the Output Spirit), meaning they want to overcome that authority through creative expression and self-initiative.
Because of these two conflicting structures, there is already inner turmoil in your mind. On top of that, your Partial Officer 乙 Wood sits in the Hour Pillar, which governs your life goals and aspirations. Since your Day Master is yin, you might have gone along with the Officer's control had you no strong roots in the Branches, but you have two roots in the Branches. Your actions resemble the Eating God (Shi Shen), while your thoughts and decisions follow the Partial Officer (Qi Sha).
In short: you were born in a metal month (You month), suited by nature to handle machines or electricity, yet your mind—represented by 乙 Wood—longs for freedom and growth, and you instinctively hate that as the Eating God, being controlled by the Partial Star.
My recommendation is to acknowledge the duality within yourself and seek happiness through balancing those two sides.
Your Eating God structure is well-rooted and supported by Companion (Bi Jian), showing a birth in a comfortable, even privileged environment. Yet because the Eating God does not appear on the Heavenly Stems and only the Partial Officer does—further protected by Indirect Resource (Pian Yin)—you often feel uneasy, as if you're constantly exposed to pressure or threat despite your stable foundation.
Starting from this year, Eul-Sa year (乙巳), through Jeong-Mi year (丁未), the major flow is governed by Wood and Fire. It is therefore a period when your Partial Officer 乙 Wood is in full strength. Since your natal chart is dominated by Earth and Metal, the best course is to endure steadily and continue your given work without haste. From Mu-Shin year (戊申) and Gi-You year (己酉) onward, you will begin to feel peace of mind, satisfaction in your efforts, and receive significant rewards for the perseverance you have shown.
(Mind my English translations of the years, etc. I'm still new to translate my theories into English.)

Thank you for the thoughtful reply eveereads, it helps that you explained the relationship between the stars so I can know the cause and effect.
I think some parts a bit hard to understand/unclear with the relationship pin yin (Shi-shen-zhi-sha, Sha-in-Shang-Sheng) but the English translation helps, perhaps adding the 汉字 would help for clarity.
I have question about this part:
"In short: you were born in a metal month (You month), suited by nature to handle machines or electricity, yet your mind—represented by 乙 Wood—longs for freedom and growth, and you instinctively hate that as the Eating God, being controlled by the Partial Star."
Which 乙 is this referring to? Is it the one in my hour pillar?
Also thank you for your advice, I will keep that in mind.
-
Thank you for your suggestion. I'll keep in mind to include the 漢字 if necessary. And here are the 漢字 for the terms I used.
Sha-in-Shang-Sheng (killing transforming into resource): 殺印相生
Shi-shen-zhi-sha (subduing the Officer with the Output Spirit): 食神制殺
And yes, I'm referring to the 乙 in your Hour pillar, but the description itself (freedom and growth) referrs to that of Wood in general.
-
Hey Eveereads,
Nice to read your posts.
I am not sure if you write/read Chinese in addition to Korean, But as Biscuit suggested, adding the Chinese characters will be helpful.
For this line: In the world you live in (Year Pillar 丁丑)
Can you write the Chinese characters for this sentence?
Also in the next sentence you use the word ”submit”, what is the Chinese character for that word?
Looking forward to reading more of your post,
ren
-
Oh, sorry. I only speak Korean and English.
I used the word "submit" literally, as in "submit to authority (偏官)," meaning to follow it rather than resist it. 殺印相生 in 子平命理 (Ziping Fate Theory) means that you endure the hardship from your Partial Officer until you get rewarded through Pian Yin, which is, in this case, 丁火.
And thank you for your warm welcome. I look forward to participating in more activities on this forum. I am so excited to exchange opinions and theories with the other members. :D

1. Because the Pian Yin is weak, rootless, the reward is rather small and unstable.
It may be rootless and weak by nature, sitting atop the Water-Earth (丑), but it's protected by Bijan (己) and there's no Cai in the natal chart. If you look at the relationships of the letters in the chart, the Pian Yin is pretty much the only letter that has no enemy, meaning it grows stronger with time. Also, it's the number one letter in the chart, sitting atop the year. Its strength cannot be measured, just by that fact alone.
But the question is: can this chart perform 殺印相生? I doubt it because for one to recognize and use the Year letter, the Year letter has to have a root in the Month, Day, or Hour branches, and this Pian Yin doesn't.
2. Zheng Cai and Pian Cai from decade luck pillar increase the power of Sha ---> More pressure than reward.
-> True in a sense, but this natal chart is void of Cai (excluding the Gui Water in 丑, of course) and have two roots and a Bijan. The Day Master is more than strong enough to handle any possible financial/authorotative pressure from any Cai or Sha. Also, the month of birth is Metal and the chart is going foward into the season of Water, where Wood is at its weakest and Metal is at the strongest. So, not as much pressure as one thinks, and if the reward for the Eating God is small, that's because the Eating God is not in the Heavenly Stems. The owner of the chart doesn't think like the Eating God; if anyone saves the Bijan, it's someone else and the owner of this chart would only assist them in doing so. (Or even oppose them as they think like Sha.)
3. Zheng Cai and Pian Cai from decade luck pillar hurt Pian Yin ---> Failure imminent.
-> No amount of Cai can't hurt the Pian Yin because it's protected by the strong Bijan and the Day Master.
4. Bijian in month stem is able to control Cai so it doesn't hurt Pian Yin.
Yes, this one's true.

Wow, coldpillow, thanks!
I've never had the opportunity to learn about other schools of Mingli before, and being able to learn about other points of view is providing me with valuable insights.
This is also the first time I've heard about 棄食就殺印 and 棄傷就殺印, but having read the webpage you provided, I get what they mean.
They have to do with the division between the Heavenly Stems and the Earthly Branches. Even though you're born as the Eating God or Hurting Officer (based on your birth month), you're thinking like the Partial Officer combined with a Seal because of the way your Heavenly Stems are shaped.
About the case in question, if I may add my opinion...
癸甲壬庚
酉寅午午
This chart is a Jia Wood Hurting Officer structure, born in the month of Wu Fire.
According to Ziping Mingli, the Hurting Officer structure is a reverse-use structure (逆用格). It takes Zheng Yin (正印) as the Xiangshen (Corresponding Spirit) and Rob Wealth (劫財) as the Gushen (구신, Supporting Spirit).
To function properly, this structure must have Zheng Yin to refine and control the Hurting Officer. That symbolizes obtaining an official qualification and entering the legitimate social order represented by the Direct Officer (正官).
If, instead of Zheng Yin, there is Pian Yin (偏印), then one grants legitimacy to oneself, developing personal talent and skill rather than formal credentials.
The Hurting Officer structure prefers a Day Master without roots, because when the Day Master is rooted, it desires Shishang (Wealth generation, 食傷生財) instead of following Zheng Yin to reach the Direct Officer.
In this chart, the Day Master is rooted and strong, so it wants to produce Wealth, meaning independence or self-employment. Yet there is no Wealth star present, and the Heavenly Stems display the opposite pattern of Guan-Yin mutual generation (官印相生).
Furthermore, the Month Pillar, representing career and domestic environment, combines Pian Yin + Hurting Officer, while there's the Indirect Officer instead of the Direct Officer.
In short, although the chart contains the Zheng Yin required for proper structure formation, too many conflicting conditions prevent it from functioning as a true Hurting Officer structure.
Thus, the 格 (structure) is broken; the person lives by mixed elemental tendencies rather than by the formal structure.
Given the details, the birth likely occurred after mid-Wu month. The combination of Jia Wood with Ding Fire within Wu indicates attempts to refine Geng Metal and You Metal, pointing to technical or vocational schooling.
However, the Pian Yin dominating the thought pattern of the Month Pillar shows that career and family circumstances are controlled by subjective preference.
While Zheng Yin aligns the self to authority, Pian Yin makes authority conform to the self, making the self preferring to work when comfortable, or being constrained by home obligations (for example, caring for elderly parents).
Overall:
Strong Day Master → prefers self-driven work.
No Wealth → lacks business or monetary focus.
Dominant Pian Yin → subjectivity and irregular rhythm.
Structure broken → technical, flexible, self-determined life path rather than official or institutional one.

Small difference yet the impact is structural. Unlike @Biscuit, his self element is NOT rooted in any branch.
So he leans toward Mutual Killing-Resource and abandon Eating God structure.

@coldpillow I don't know if this helps in interpreting it.
I used to like to draw and do other art stuff. But at the end of the day, I feel drained after work and taking care of the house chores that I don't have motivation for doing any art whatsoever.
Even if I start, a lot I don't finish because I feel pressured that I will not produce anything good (I guess like negative self talk mixed with perfectionism?).
I cannot quite remember if I ever have a decade/year where I'm particularly more productive though.

@nin99 sorry i couldn't understand this. Could you explain it clearer? Or if your native language is not english, you can put it in your native language and I can try translate it.
@coldpillow not sure about 2021, I think 2020 or 2021 might be the year I got back to reading as hobby. But checking from some old pictures, it seems 2017 is the year I create more like baking, drawing, photography, etc or have the chance or energy to do it more.
I don't have recurring dreams, but my dreams have always been vivid, which sometimes make me tired when waking up. Some are negative, some more adventure-like with no negative or positive.
I do react negatively to criticism, annoyance, hostility; they don't come constantly, but once they do, my mood would be completely unstable and I would repeat it in my mind a lot. I find it hard to recover from it. Maybe few each year that would sadden me. Some (past 2-3 years) completely alters my perception of the person, though they may come from different people.
About the venting, they were talking about their relationship issue (cannot move on). I felt tired because it felt like talking one-sided conversation.

@coldpillow that's an intetesting take. I never really thought about it that way, but now I feel that could be possible. Though the fact that I tried listening and giving advice, yet they could barely remember things about me would undoubtedly also contribute to my weariness.
But yes, I can see that there are some parts that bothers me when they were venting, like the "no action talk only" attitude that feels very similar to myself.
Thank you for this insight, I think it's worth reflecting when I feel someone is particularly annoying or iffy without any clear reason.
