Title: TCM herbs database
Post by: Voytek on July 24, 2018, 04:10:35 PM
Dear members!
I have recently added a new feature to the BaZi Calculator that may be useful for TCM practitioners:
it's TCM herbs database with advanced search tool (accessible through menu More -> Herbs Database).

What is the power of the search tool is that you can find a herb with very specific properties.

Example: I need to find a herb that is cool or cold, enters gallbladder meridian, does not enter spleen meridian, is not pungent and its category does not contain "draining" phrase.
I tick the checkboxes I need and I have a list of herbs that qualify (see sample results here (https://bazi-calculator.com/herbsSearch.php?s__op=1&t__op=1&t_0=on&t_1=on&m__op=1&m_1=on&category=&name_py=&name_la=&name_en=&ns_5=on&nm_6=on&category_not=draining&go2=1)).

Great tool  :D

It would be good if it has a Chinese word next to Herb name.

Cheers,

yes, that would be nice!  However, Chinese names for herbs are often difficult characters, and not used by the average Chinese language user (including myself).

Hello,
I have to look into it, if it's possible. Right now I don't have Chinese names in my database, because myself I didn't use these.
If possible, where would you like to have it, index page or specific herb details page (the latter would be better for me)?
