A true story from the past ... the fortune teller and his friend walked near the river and saw two horses approaching the water. One horse was red and the other gray. Which horse will come to the water first, the friend asked?
How do you see the result?

There are 2 scenarios
If the red horse represents the Li fire Gua / the grey horse represents the Qian Heaven metal Gua.
1. If there is contest between them .. the red horse is prevelant ...
2. From the arragment of later Heaven Bagua. . The Qian Heaven metal Gua is closer to the Kan Warer than Li fire Gua... so Grey horse is prevelant ..
I vote the 2nd one ...
Very good story ...

The two horses did not race, they walked towards the river. The gray came to the water sooner ...Kan gua.

Very nice, Tientai!
Is it also because today's Day Pillar is Ren Yin, and Ren Water is associated to Kan gua? :) ;)

Dear Jlim. I would like to agree with you. Time is relevant when the question is made .!!
Nevertheless the story by @tanpai comes from the past and already answered .. when coming (to us ) the same query (today) to answer .. day pillar is relevant and helpful to give an answer ..!!

Tientai,What is the role of the Hour Pillar when I wait for an event on the same day?
For example, is this postman coming today, and if so, when will come?
-
@tanpai .. most popular is Meihua for this kind of Query... have you ever try this ?
In answering when the postman will come to you .. I want to make a query from my part : Why you want this answer ?
Wanting to inform you that seems easy .. but one may involved on many errors and difficulties after all ..!!

Tientai, „Why you want this answer?”
There are times when I should know which day and hour an event is likely to occur.
I have a Da Li book, I Ching Numerology. Perhaps you recommend one of these methods for timing? But I also wonder if WWG has a method for daily timing ...
