I have just published Liu Yao Calculator.
I know there are many other calculators but that was a request from users that required somewhat different features that other calculators have.

Some facts.
1. She stared career in 1934 (first movie), the acting career lasted continuously for 50 years, so whole natal chart should support this.
2. First Oscar award in 1945, then numerous other awards.
3. Death of mother at the age of 3, she was raised by many "mothers" - aunts, father's lovers etc.
4. Many husbands and divorces.
5. Died in 1982 from breast cancer.

Simple interpretation.
Many mothers - abundant wood (mother in mangpai) element of mixed polarities.
Many divorces - strong output controlling officer - she prefers freedom to husbands.

Successful acting carrer - looks like output working.
It seems like a water and wood gang controlling Chen earth, would you agree? I think the gang is strong enough to form.

First oscar in 1945, LP Hai, Hai joins the gang and supports the chart work.

At the same time, Chen is the weakest organ. Chen is controlled by strong wood, harmed by Mao. In 1982 LP Xin Mao, Mao comes to harm very weak Chen.
Chen earth is breast (Chen is stomach, stomach meridian goes through the middle of breast), which was in this case fatal.

Update... I think there is an error with the posted chart. GMT for Georgia should be -5 instead of -6.
I believe the hour should be Yi Mao.

That is a historical research one needs to make to discern that.
There were counties that wondered from timezone to timezone and we'd need to look into some historical sources to be sure which version is correct. They might have an error on astro.com, but it's also possible some specific Georgian areas were in central timezone. Timeanddate.com doesn't keep records for 1920s unfortunately. The database I am using is from a different souce, but tested on thousands of cases are no errors founds so far.

Yeah, I am getting more and more confused. Lol.

Should my chart be
. Bing Zi (hour pillar) + Ji Mao (day pillar)
. Bing Zi (hour pillar) + Geng Chen (day pillar)
. Ding Chou (hour pillar) + Geng Chen (day pillar)

If your birth date and hour is correct (12 Jan 1979, 01:25 in Johor), then your chart is for sure Bing Zi hour and Geng Chen day.

Timezone GMT+7.5 is correctly included. There is 44 minutes correction from longitude and equation of time. Real solar time is 0:40. So Zi hour.

There is a school that claims that Zi hour (early Rat) starts a new day pillar at 23:00 - but even in that case your still and Chen Dragon.
Day pillar change would only be effective if you were born just before midnight. It doesn't work the other way around. It's logical because we take Rat as a starting point, so we can start a new day early, but not reverse the day and go back instead.

Ren is doing great job verifying the chart BTW!

About the system: Heluo Lishu is based on Yi Cing, you calculate two hexagrams for each half of your life and interpret the lines and trigrams of these hexagrams.
Hexagrams are in fact derived from a Bazi chart.
More information can be found in some (very few) books that I quote in the footer of the calculator.

I guess you have checked "DST" (summer time), while it should be unchecked.
Please see image attached.

In premium version, you only input "Póvoa de Lanhoso" location and click "Search" button, the calculator does everything for you.
In free version, you can manually set: longitude, timezone and DST (summer time) and eventually you get the same calculation.

Póvoa de Lanhoso observed no summer time in Sep 1976, so with the DST option unchecked, you get 12:34 in bazi-calculator.com, just like on JLim's screenshot.

am just curious as you mentioned that you remove the % off the pie chart, is this the same pie chart on the ten gods as i can see the % on the calculator though.

I was considering removing it, but after all, many users are using it this way and find it useful. So the option stays. There are many BaZi schools, many of them calculate DM strength and 10 gods strength.
What is important to rememeber is that any calculations are only approximation, it not possible to count energy precisely We are dealing with metaphysics.
But since it is useful for students of many BaZi schools out there, let's leave it this way.
