Hey Duesouth, All,
I have always had some issues with the character 拱 - gong.
Initially I have seen it used in relationship to a Ban San He - half combination.
i.e., Shen Chen, where Zi is missing. Here 拱 means arch or surround.
So this phrase 子日拱之 has me a little confused.
But after a little research, I think the phrase means (the) Day - Zi, supports it (Hai).

Hey Random88,
From what I have read of this section, it sounds like a simplified way of using the Liu Yao setting, with the Self line.
It goes through ?Four Matter? scenarios and uses Offspring, Wealth, Officer, Sibling, or Six Clash to determine auspicious or inauspiciousness.
It does not use the five element interactions, combos, clashes etc. No change lines.
If I am reading this correctly; as described in this method, if either Officer or Offspring, Wealth or Sibling are not on the subject one can divine again (cast a new hexagram).
Interesting stuff.

Is it still possible to pursue a career and should she rent out her business premises can be viewed as two separate divination queries.
If her career as a retailer was working in her own business, my question is why did she retire? Second, what type of work / business is she interested in, if she decides to continue working?
