"You either don't have permission to access this page or the link has expired."

Also if we use this , how do we attach the image?

Would appreciate some help here.

hi JohnChoong,

thank you for your interesting topics so far. i learn much from them.

there's interaction in branch level : both Wei enter to both Chen ( Chen is tomb of water & earth).

1. Yi Wei enter to Chen, it means DM is joining an institution.
2. Chen = tomb of resource, so it might be a learning institution.
3. Wei brings many Yi, so the institution has many persons too (=learning peers, because these Yi come for getting Gui inside Chen)
4. Bing (output) sits atop Chen, means DM shares something in the institution.

(1)(2)(3)(4) are match with his fulltime teaching profession, aren't they?

Chen sits on Month & Year, so this is a local big institution but has national scale/reputation.

in LP Ding You, Yi DM produces Ding (EG) but there's Gui (IR). IR vs EG is "The Owl Steals Food" ~~> hardship. You (7K) -Chen combination subdues Yi inside Chen ~~> stressful life in the institution.

He was retrenched in May 2022, but problem was there in 2021 Xin Chou. Xin Chou is arrival of You (LP). Xin strengthens Gui (IR) and attacks Yi DM. Chou-Chen-You performs abundant 7K and damage Yi in branch level.  Chou-Wei clash also make Wei get out of Chen tomb, which is contrary with natal chart does.

2023 Gui Mao, might be a little bit better because Mao will break Chen-You combination, so tension is lessening. But would be tiringful, because Mao is Lu of Yi DM ~~> physical work is required.

cmiiw  :)

Thank you, Phoenix.  Here are some of my thoughts based on your writing.

1. Yes. Both Yi Wei enters the Chen tomb and Yi and Wei.  Yi represents the self and Wei is Cai.  Was wondering what is the association of these two characters to the institution.  Or would it be possible that this chart holder establishes his online learning platform?

2. Indeed he is interested in the learning industries but also in wellness  I believe Chen is Resource (Yin) Tomb can be associated with both.

3. Interestingly, the chart holder wants to operate as a solopreneur and I wonder how it is possible for the Yi DM to gain access to his peers represented by the Yi Wood and whether they will be relevant. AFAIK, under the Mang Pai system, in order for the stems under the tomb branch to be used, they need to be released either through Clash or Punishment.

The question is whether the release of the Yi Wood will benefit the chart holders (if it happens). It represents the root of the Daymaster and it represents his longevity.  I felt that due to the lack of interaction within the natal chart that can open the tomb, it is difficult for this chart holder to gain access to peers and collaborate unless he can time himself to leverage on period with Xu (Dog) forming Clash.  Chen cannot form any interaction with Wei and Chou other than entombing them.  Also, under Mang Pai, there is no self-punishment between Chen and Chen.  So am wondering how can the Yi Wood from Chen be used and also when Wei with its Yi Wood within the storage gets entombed by Chen, it is also locked.

This may help explain why the chart holder felt he is somewhat an introvert despite having a lot of Lu.

4 The chart holder is running Ding You LP.  You (Guan Sha) forming a combination with Chen. Would this indicate being employed by an organization because Guan Sha can represent companies and institutions also?  You, however, is in the second half of the LP so I am wondering how relevant would it be.  Does this mean that the chart holder has to wait for opportunities to be employed in an organization in the last 5 years of his LP and currently he should pursue working freelance or operate as a solopreneur.

5. I felt this year, it is challenging for him to find a job in an organization because Mao from Natal is harming Chen. He was laid off last year in March which is Ren Yin (Water Tiger) Year and Gui Mao (Rabbit) Month.  Not sure why the layoff happens other than me seeing Mao from Month forming harm with both Chen in the Natal Month and Year.

But you mentioned could be valid because the chart holder receive the news of the retrenchment in January which is still considered to be Xin Chou. I was wondering how Gui can be adverse to the DM? Would Wet Wood welcome water?

6. Currently, the chart appears to be dominated Water and Wet Earth which seeks to control Fire (Output/Shi Shang).  Personally, I find the process of controlling Fire is weak because there are still many kinds of wood present at the branch that support the Fire which would not allow Fire to be fully controlled especially when Wei Tomb (Wood Tomb is present).   Am uncertain whether this is a valid point?

7. I am also uncertain whether the present of Mao this year will help because Harm seems to be more negative than Clash, Punishment, and Breakage.  Also we may want to consider whether Chen and You is adverse.  From what I know, the wood here is Live Wood and if fearful of metal.  Although You bringing in Xin metal can cut the Wood but the wood in the chart is relatively strong and therefore can counter.  Maybe due to the strong wood also that counter You (Guan Sha) helps to explain why the chart holder is not ambitious in pursuing position or take more responsibilities.

@Phoenix Thanks for your input.  This helps me to explore further.

Hope to hear from you and others again.

Dear everyone,

Please allow me to present the following analysis.  I am working to apply what I learn in Mang Pai method and to gradually build up my analysis. I hope those who know can provide me with some pointers

Please pardon my haphazard writing.  I am trying to put down as much of what I see in the chart based on Mang Pai approach.

                DM          Current LP  Current AP
Bing  Ren   Yi    Gui   Ding           Gui
Chen Chen Wei Wei   You             Mao

How is this person's wealth career for the current year (Gui Mao, 2023)?

SHANG GUAN BEING OVERWHELMED BY WATER AND WET EARTH GANG
  • The chart shows Water and Wet Earth Gang seeking to control Fire and Dry Earth.
  • Fire (Shang Guan) is weak and therefore can be controlled but is far away from DM which results in the lacing of efficiency.
  • Overall, from the natal chart, Wet Earth appears to be dominating which dampens the fire, could this affect the quality of the Shang Guan that the chart seeing to control?
  • There is no swapping image for Bing (Shang Guan) as the Lu image for Bing is Si (Snake).  There is no snake in the chart.
  • Chart holder often has challenges expressing themselves and making clear articulation.  Also, he has the issue of being spontaneous which is a characteristic of Shang Guan.  this could be due to Shang Guan being far from DM and undermined by too much Water and Wet Earth.
  • Probably have to observe the period where more Fire element is present.  This will allow the water in the chart to have more work rather than having the element overwhelm the God that is being worked on.
  • There is a problem with the chart holder establishing his authority despite having a high level of knowledge.  Because Yin (Seal) is knowledge but at the same time represents authority. It has to be effective in a work process.  The issue I felt is that Yin (Seal) does not have enough Fire to apply itself.
YI WOOD IN TOMB
Too much water in the chart, lead to overthinking especially when there is not enough Bi Jie to offer support and to transform Yin (Seal) to Shi Shang.  Expression of creativity is affected.
Despite having Yi Wood in the hidden stem area but there in the tomb.  It requires the tomb to be clashed or punished for the Lu to be released and become functioning.  Lu represents the self.  As such, the chart holder often feels that he has a lot of ideas and goes through a lot of learning but feels constipated in terms of expression and apprehension in applying what he learned.

Without the effective working of Shi Shang, it is difficult to produce or give birth to Cai even though the chart as many Cai in the form of double Chen and double Wei.

NO SELF-PUNISHMENT
In Mang Pai, there is no concept of self-punishment, therefore the interaction of Chen-Chen is ignored but this create Fu Yin which will be explained later.

NO GUAN SHA
This chart has no Officer (Guan Sha), meaning this person has no opportunity to gain status or officialdom. It can also be this person has no ambition to take on high ranking position.

BING SHANG GUAN
  • The work process is inefficient. Yin (Seal.
  • Both Gui and Ren overcome Bing
  • Shang Guan and Bing are in the Year Pillar is far away from the DM Pillar.
  • Bing is not effectively supported by the DM in order to control the Cai (Earth).
  • Cai (Earth) is very strong and thus it controls back the Fire.
  • Cai can be seen to be the Guest.
  • The chart holder has a problem managing wealth.  There can be wealth 'leakage' or poor financial management.
  • Alternatively, the chart holder may feel overwhelmed with the prospect of managing money.

RELATIONSHP BETWEEN CAI AND YIN
Without effectively controlling and managing the Cai (Wealth), it is difficult for the chart holder to also control and manage the Yin (Seal).
This results in the chart holder experiencing overthinking which creates in taking action and leads to frequent procrastination.  He constantly thinks and plans without taking action to create and deliver tangible actions.

NO BRANCH INTERACTION IN THE NATAL CHART
Furthermore, the Branch has no interaction and thereby does not result in a work process causing both Chen and Wei to be idle until they can meet with other tomb branches which can result in punishment and clash to open the tomb.  However, I am not sure whether this matters or not to the main qi of Chen and Wei or if the opening of the tomb will only be releasing sub qi elements.  Therefore, the question is do we require the clash and punishment interaction in order to get the Cai from Chen and Wei to work for Wood DM?

STEM INTERACTION
But there is Stem interaction where it has Bing and Ren clash at the Month and Year Pillar.  This creates a conflict structure creating issues of dissatisfaction in the chart holder's career.

BATTLE BETWEEN ZHENG CHAI AND PIAN CHAI

Despite not having any direct interaction, there is a conflict between Chen and Wei because Chen is Wet Earth referring to Zheng Cai and Wei is Dry Earth representing Pian Chai.  Both can be of equal strength but from Natal, it appears that Wet Earth is dominating.  Does this mean there is a conflict in wealth generation method where if the focus is towards direct wealth will undermine the opportunity to gain indirect wealth?

YOU FROM LP AND MAO FROM AP
  • You form a half-combination with Wei, meaning Cai from Wei can operate to transform into Qi Sha.    Yet Qi Sha threatened the Yi Wood DM and Qi Sha being Guan Sha can refer to employment within a company so this may result in instability in career despite being able to combine with Wei.
  • You combine with Chen.  Chen being Wei Earth is easy to produce or transform to Metal.  This could mean there is a greater desire for the chart holder to change within this period and have more ambition but You can cut the Lu of Yi Wood DM and the change can create some significant stress.  In addition, Mao from the current 2023 Year Pillar forms Harm with the natal
  • Month and Year Chen and You from LP form clash with Mao from Year Pillar.
  • Mao represents the self DM as Lu and it is currently being clashed.
  • Mao forming harm with Chen shows that the self is affected by matters related to Cai (Wealth).
  • The chart holder has been retrenched from his full-time teaching profession in May 2022 and currently, he is working part-time to build an online learning platform.

QUESTION ON COMBINATION AND CLASH
  • Can the combination between Chen and You be manifested due to You from LP clashing with Mao from AP?
  • I would say no. A combination cannot be formed when a clash occurs.
  • Can Mao and Wei form a half-combo? I would say no either because Mao s preoccupied with the external clash with You from LP.
  • Therefore, due to the above, both You and Mao cannot effectively operate to manifest the effect of the combo.

FU YIN MEANING
  • What does Fu Yin mean in this chart. There are two sets of Fu Yin related to Cai, one in reference to Zheng Chai and the other in Pian Cai.
  • Does this mean that this chart holder will hold multiple jobs or have side gigs?
  • Are Chen and Wei considered to be auspicious gods or inauspicious God?
  • However, with the two Chen in the Month and Year, this could be made to explain how the chart holder has received much financial support from his parents because Cai being on the Month and Year represents the parents and it is at Guest, indicating wealth outside of "self".  Both father and mother have made financial contributions to the chart holder.

CONCLUSION
  • Overall conclusion, 2023 is going to be challenging financially as increased water Yin (Seal) overwhelms Shi Shang preventing it to be transformed into Cai so the Self and Lu can work/perform.  In addition, the Cai becomes less beneficial as it cannot form a proper combination due to the influence of harm and clash made by Mao from AP and You from LP.

Hi nin99,

bing  Gui ren ding
chen  si   zi   mao -- male Gui DM

LP Wu Shen (Oct 2018-Oct 2028)

1. Natal chart: Your mother star is Mao Wood.  Zi breaks Mao, so mother's health or accomplishment is compromised.

2. Now is Shen LP: Mao is at Jue (vanishing) stage at Shen
3. This year is Gui Mao: Gui ---> time for Zi, so it's time for Zi to break Mao.

Based on the above (1, 2 and 3), she needs an aggressive treatment for the breast cancer

Dear Dharma,

May I know how do we identify Mao as the mother.  Is it looking at the year pillar rather than looking at the stars that produce the Gui DM which is Geng?

Hope to get some pointers here.

My school of thoughts do not read time adjustments. I don't use Bazi.

Strong character with determination. Straightforward and unfriendly. High opinion and did not give up easily. Can have high self-esteem and introverted, selfish or always comes to dead end thinking. Feels like life is always not smooth.
Unfortunately, her spouse palace has too many interferences and yes, there is signs of married again.

Just following to read how others interpret with Bazi tools.

Good luck.

She can be opinionated but is a very helpful person.  Introverted she is not.  She can be highly assertive.  From the traditional BaZi perspective, she has Fui Kong/Kui Kang (Commanding Pillar) but under the Mangpai system we do not look at such pillar types so I am curious to read what makes up her character through the lens of identifying "work process",

The question I like to know how is the current quality of marriage now. Would there be any issues? And also if a person's chart shows the individual has multiple marriages, is there any specific formula or criteria to show whether a person will have a good marriage in the subsequent matrimonial relationships?

Would be interested to hear your thoughts on this.

Was the marriage turmoil heaviest between 2006-2011?

Yes. She felt a lot of emotional disturbances during that particular period of time.

However, what makes me curious is that the second man she met seems to be good to her.  The second man appears to be someone who is loyal (not the type who philander) and is more shy in social interaction.  It was the women who initiate the relationship.

I wonder how we look at the quality of the second marriage if we are to make reference to chart B.

Female, aged 50
Year  Month  Day  Hour   LP   1991 2001 2011  2021  2031
Ren   Ren    Wu     Geng        Geng   Ji     Wu    Ding   Bing
Zi      Zi      Xu     Shen          Xu    You   Shen   Wei    Wu

Femal DM wants to know the quality of her relationship and career prospect?

MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE

  • Female DM enters into first marriage during the Period of Ji You.
  • She was reluctant but was pressured to get married to her first husband by her mother.
  • Marriage life to the first husband was not harmonious.  The husband had had several affairs with other women (even married ones).
  • She tolerated her husband's behaviors until the husband brought the mistress home and kicked her out of the house.
  • This became the last straw when she separated for her husband and initiate divorce proceedings.
  • During the divorce proceeding, she met another man.  Both were together for 10 years, waiting for the divorce proceedings to resolve before getting married in 2015, Yi Wei Year under Wu Shen LP.

Analysis:
Metal and Water form a gang with the intention of controlling Water and Wood.
Female has no Guan Sha to be used as spouse stars.  Therefore, we use Cai. as Spouse Star.
Fu Yin involves Ren Zi which represents the spouse indicating double marriage.
The period where there were problems in the marriage was during the Ji You.  In traditional BaZi, You and Zi are considered to form negative interaction but under MangPai system, You and Zi have no Po (breakage) relationship.  If this is the case, what causes divorce and unhappy marriages?

The second marriage happens during Yi Wei AP because Yi being Zheng Guan allows Cai to do work and Yi is sitting on Wei which forms a mutual punishment with Xu.  There is an interaction between the AP and the Day Pillar representing the self. The opening of the tomb releases Ding Fire within Xu so this enables Zi Water to do work.  This enables the Cai (Zi Rat), representing the spouse to control Xu's Ding Fire which is the DM's Yin and this can be seen as being associated with the self.  This can show that the second man is the one who insists on the marriage and causes it to happen.  WOuld it be correct for me to stay this?

Question:
1. Shen and Zi form Ban He.  This shows the connection triggering the work process of Shi Shang producing Cai.

2. Can we take two Zi Rat as indicating her having two marriages during two decades of her life?

3, The woman has 4 Yang Pillars.  Can we look at the pillar to determine whether this woman is the type who is resilient and has more masculine qualities (e.g. assertiveness, controlling)?

4. Current year Gui Mao that arrives within the Ding Wei period.  Mao is Guan Sha and Gui is Cai.  Mao is Guest because there are no character from the Host that are the same at the Year Pillar.  Would there be possibility that this female DM may get involve in another relationship  or that she can attract men's attention due to Zi and Mao breakage.

Bazi / CASE ANALYSIS: SUCCESSFUL FEMALE LAYWER WITH INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS
« on: January 25, 2023, 07:16:21 PM »
Hello there, my name is John and I have newly joined the MangPai Foundation Course.  After going through Dharma's material, I try to re-read some of the charts that I have.

Attached is the chart.

This chart belongs to a successful German female lawyer who travels around the world and has several properties in different countries.  She is involved with clients that engage in million to 10-million dollars deal. ??? ???

What I like to know is how to read the character of the person using Mang Pai System and how to see that she is successful in her career.

1. GANG OF ELEMENTS
This chart has an influencing Metal and Water gang.  However, based on traditional reading Wood should be considered the two strongest elements but in Mang Pai system we do not identify whether the strength of certain elements will be enhanced by having certain stems falling under the Month Pillar.

2. INTENTION OF THE CHART
Being Metal and Water, this chart has the intention to control Wood which is Shi Shang (Output), and Fire which is Cai (Wealth).

3. THE "WORKING" DYNAMICS
Ren sitting atop Wu; it is Daymaster sitting on Wealth accompanied by Guan Sha which is an Unstable Pillar.  Having an Unstable Day Pillar shows an individual who is active.  She is rest

Ren Water operates to control the Fire which is Cai represented by Ding under the Wu Horse Earthly Branch and subsequently Cai transformed into Guan Sha specifically Zheng Guan (Ji Earth). Following the guest and host principles, Ren Water is operating as Host while both the Ding Fire and Ji Earth under Wu Horse EB function as Guest.  This effectively show how the Host can control the Guest.

4. CHOU AND WU FORM A HARM
Chou Ox from Hour Pillar and Wu Horse From Day Pillar form a harm relationship.

Could this relationship trigger the functioning of water which is Gui causing it to work to overcome Ding? (Note to self: Overcoming is less efficient than controlling.)

But then Chou contains Xin which is Yin (Seal)? Would the Ding Fire be considered to have something to do which is to overcome Xin Metal and make Ding into a Working God? This is because Ding Fire can go about working to burn the metal and such can control the Cai in order to fulfill the requirement of the Thief-Police structure?

Or is it that when one character is being controlled, it cannot go about controlling other characters?

5. IS YI AND MAO CONSIDERED TO BE DEAD WOOD OR LIVE WOOD?
I see Yi Mao at Month Pillar as dead wood which should function to be burned and not be afraid of metal. Being positioned near the Daymaster, it is auspicious as it facilitates ease of performance to help produce the Cai (Ding Fire) under Wu Horse.

6. WU EARTH SITTING ATOP OF SHEN AT THE YEAR PILLAR.
Year Pillar is Wu sitting atop Shen, it presents the image of Yin wearing the Guan Sha Cap and is an unstable pillar.  As such the Daymster can gain status and recognition but not officialdom (by virtue of having unstable pillar).  Guan Sha can represent her own enterprise.

The reason I mention she is operating her own enterprise is because of swapping image of Shen (Monkey) at the Year Pillar with the Xin at the Hour.  Xin being in the host (Day and Hour Pillar) can be considered as something she creates and as such she is not working for others.  Moreover, there is another Xin within the Chou.  Xin Chou is considered a stable pillar.

As her work deals with foreign clients this has something to do with the influence of the Hour Pillar which is beyond the "door" and is indicative of overseas operations and markets.

7. BEING INDEPENDENT AND HAVING DESIRE TO TO MOVE FAR AWAY
Can we say that in this chart configuration, the Daymaster when young was already independent or had the desire to move far away especially to foreign countries because of the interaction of Shen at Year and Xin Chou at Hour?  An hour means “beyond the door” which can mean traveling far away to operate or fortune is found overseas.  The logic behind such a conclusion is that Hour Pillar contains Yin (Seal)f from Xin Metal and Guan Sha from Chou Ox.

8. WU HORSE CANNOT TRANSFORM INTO WEALTH
The problem is Wu cannot become Wealth because Chou is Wet Earth as the chart is dominated by Water and Metal gang.  Could this be the reason a harm relationship occur?  What is the implication of this? Could Wu Horse still work to become Wealth?

9. GENG AND YI - AN HE (Hidden/secret Combination)
There is a working process between Geng and Yi in the Shen and Mao in the Year and Month.  Geng Metal is Yin (Seal) and Yi Wood is Shi Shang.  So we can consider this to be Yin transformed into Shi Shang.  This leads to an efficient process as the Daymster is not dependent on Lu to support Shi Shang.  Because have Lu to produce Shi Shang is indicative of arduous profession.

10. THIEF-POLICE STRUCTURE
This woman's chart fulfills the thief-police structure within the natal chart.  The police is the Ti (body). Both Xin and Geng are considered to be the Body (Ti).

Geng Metal has a thief that it can operate on and the thief is the Shi Shang represented by Yi Wood which is present at Month and is closely adjacent to the Day Pillar. This a highly functioning metal where it has wood to chop.

11. BOLDNESS IN APPROACH
Therefore, this Daymaster is highly productive at a young age and is curious, enterprising, adventurous, and extroverted.  These qualities are brought forth by Shi Shang.  In addition, the Shi Hang that is operating is the Hurting Officer instead of Shi Shen, Eating God.  Hurting Officer (Shang Guan) shows aggressiveness in expression and is someone who frequently takes initiative to do things.  According to the manual, Shang Guan can be viewed as the Yong.  As such, the Ti-Yong principles is fulfilled.

In addition, this woman is constantly seeking to apply herself, is a great problem solver, and is bold in her approach.

12. IS POWER (GUAN SHA) HARMFUL TO THE DAYMASTER?
Power is represented by Wu Earth and Ji Earth. When power is prosperous but without control, transformation, or work processes, it will be inauspicious.  It brings no benefits and can be detrimental to a person’s position and reputation in addition to affecting the prospect of officialdom.

However, in the case of this woman, Power can be transformed to Yin (Seal) which is both Geng and Xin metal being present in the chart.  As such, it can be considered to have work and does not pose a threat to the DM.  Can this be the correct interpretation?

13. XIN TAKING ROOT AT CHOU
Can we consider Xin Metal as taking root in Chou but Chou is being affected by the main interaction with Wu.

Since this chart gravitates towards the Metal and Water gang, Wu Earth can be controlled and is less likely to hurt the Gui Water and the Xin Metal at Chou.  Nevertheless, when certain stem from the LP and AP that increases the Fire energy of the chart namely Si (Snake) and Wu (Horse), there could be certain challenges to this Daymaster as Wealth will control Xin Metal as Yin (Seal) and Gui Water as Yang Ren (Goat Blade) at Chou.

Am I right to say this? Or could we simply interpret that since there is a process, wealth can be “put to work” and therefore does not harm the Daymaster?

14. FU YIN.  WHAT WILL THIS YEAR HOLD FOR THIS WOMAN?
The arrival of Mao from LP and AP creates Fu Yin.  Mao is Shi Shang.  Fu Yin can mean "double".

Can I conclude there is a greater drive of this Daymaster to apply herself to earn wealth?  This Daymaster will gain more opportunities from different clients to do so where the clients will come in to seek her expertise to solve problems.

Hope some of the seniors here can answer the above questions.

P.S. BTW, can someone show me how to embed the image into the post?
