Actually, I think those who have a truly bad life backed with a truly bad Bazi are not very common.
Most of us will fall in the middle of a very large spectrum between perfectly good and extremely bad.
Some of us who have a bad experience might not be aware that the root cause is still a manageable aspect.
i.e. Wrong mentality about life, or unknowing obsession, nasty attitude, etc.
By having your Bazi read, it gives you this awareness of yourself and life around you.
The strengths, the weaknesses, the potential, the pitfalls.
And then one can take proactive steps to capitalize on the potentials and strengths, avoid the pitfalls and weaknesses.
Granted, the theory behind Bazi and destiny is that you can't change that road.
But it is also not so specific as to what exact event will take place.
A person still has wiggle room within the width of the road.
This wiggle room can give vastly different outcomes.
Take for example, a pair of twins, born with exactly the same Bazi under the same household.
Their lives can turn out completely different by the end due the environment they are exposed to, and the decisions they make.
Same for a person with a bad Bazi.
There are others with exactly the same bad Bazi, but the severity differs due to different environment and actions.
For me, Bazi and other fortune telling techniques, despite the unchangeable predicted path, is still good for awareness and planning.
Just like a weather forecast of an oncoming storm.
You can't change the weather, but with knowledge, you can make wiser plans to tackle it.

I think the biggest challenge he will have is between the age of 30-50.
It will be family-related.
He will be very distracted and encumbered by this, and will affect his performance in life.
You may potentially have friction with his spouse, and he might be caught in between.
Wealth is weak this period, but wealth may not be money-related, can be relationship with spouse too.
Health-wise, during this time period, gallbladder is weaker.
May have signs of hair loss too.

No, it won't.
Horse-Goat combines.
Both the Horses in the LP, AP shares the same Qi, both will be imprisoned with Goat.
So the Horses will not damage the Rooster.
So Rooster back to full power, but chart owner also lost 2 Horses.
Horses contains DING fire.
DING fire = Day Master.
So DM weaken by 2x = either poor friend luck or self-confidence is weaken.
Rooster restored = better wealth luck, but still lower than his default natal state.
But no matter how healthy the Rooster is, overall metal is weak because in the stems, 2 BING + 2 DING damage GENG very very badly.
To me, there is an image of self-sabotage due to overly high self-esteem / overconfidence / arrogance on the outside (stems). This trait erodes his ability to capture his goals. But in the inside (branches), his confidence is actually shaken due to loss of 2 Horses. I don't think it is a dangerous year for him. I think it is a year of failed goals.
I like how Five Elements method makes Fuyin easier to understand. In traditional Bazi, I don't think it is well explained why Fuyin is bad. Just because the same elements appear twice or more? Why is that automatically bad? But if you see them as sharing same Qi, then it is easy to understand when something happens to one, it happens to all of them, so the risk is higher and the magnitude can be greater than normal.

I think learning Bazi needs to go deeper than that. Just because a person has a weak DM, he/she has to avoid all the draining and controlling elements - don't make sense if you look at life holistically. If we follow this reasoning for your example, technically this person should not touch money, not have relationship, not work, because they all weaken him further - that is not possible and illogical.
Similarly, just because DM is weak fire, does not mean when he step into fire LP, his life will become glorious. He is already more than haflway through BING-WU LP. If fire automatically makes his life better, then he should have gotten a partner by now.
This is why I use Five Elements way of analysis. So I can calculate the resultant luck for each aspect for a particular time frame. Instead of relying solely on high-level conceptual rules, and then wondering why I am experiencing bad luck during a time period with supposedly beneficial element.

But I calculate the outcome differently from you.
I don't use traditional Bazi pattern here.
REN strengthens JIA wood of the AP.
JIA is now strongly, strengthening all the fires in the Heavenly Stems further, further hurting the GENG metal.
Hence, overall metal outcome for stems = worse.
SHEN drains off CHEN of AP.
CHEN is dead, so cannot form a combination with YOU.
YOU is back to full power + SHEN in the month.
Hence, overall metal outcome for branches = substantial increase.
So net gain overall for metal is a minor increase.
But a minor increase is better than none.
So if want to try, it is still worth trying this month.

And the monthly-annual interaction resolves before the natal+luck pillar+annual pillar calculation.
So the only way metal can be boosted in 2024 is if a monthly pillar affects the annual pillar and later on leads to an increase in metal energy.
For this to happen, the condition needs to be: monthly pillar destroys annual pillar JIA and/or CHEN.
Because JIA grows fire and destroys GENG in combat and CHEN imprisons part of YOU's energy, so it is best that they are neutralized.
But...does it really help?
On any month that destroys JIA, fire is weakened, so the damage on GENG is lessened, but still very much strong enough to eliminate GENG.
On any month that destroys CHEN, YOU is freed, but summation of energy is nowhere near 2012 state or even default natal state because WEI is imprisoned by WU, hence YOU is lacking the assist from WEI that it normally gets.
So in my POV, on the best months for metal in 2024, yes, metal energy improves a little, but I don't think in a way that is enough to find the special one.
Five Elements School don't apply the formation of new elements after paired combines.
The rationale is that paired combine is like a chemical reaction.
The resultant formation comes at the end.
But what we are interested in is the present, the process of the combine.
So we look at the effects of the combine, and not the result of the combine.
But YI-GENG combination does help increase metal luck.
By imprisoning GENG, it saves it from the attack of the fire.
So at least GENG ends up with some residual strength.
In the earthly branches, without CHEN, YOU is freed.
But SI comes to destroy YOU.
So metal is worse in the branches.
Five Elements School also does not take into account tri-combination frames.
But if I had to switch mode to traditional Bazi style, I would say half frames provide negligible effects.
Usually, a decisive increase in an element's strength would require a full frame to be present.
So SI and YOU needs CHOU to complete the frame.
Also makes sense from Five Elements' perspective, as SI fire grows CHOU earth grows YOU metal.
So overall, I still think 2025 is not that great for metal also.

For 2012, 壬 combines with 丁. Since all the 丁 shares the same energy, generally speaking, the bulk of 丁 energy is gone. Because of this, 庚 metal, which is by default beaten down by 丁, is now freed. 酉 is also stronger than 2024, because 未 is not combined by 午, so 未 lends its full power to 酉, making it [戌's residual earth + 2x 未's earth + 辰's residual earth + its own 酉 metal]. So overall, 2012's metal power distinctively triumphs over 2024's.
Ended in 2014? 酉 in 2014 seems significantly weaker than 2012.

However, for an outcome to happen, it requires 3 things to fall into place:
Destiny / Heaven's Luck (Bazi), Environment (Feng Shui) and personal actions.
Having very strong luck in a particular area doesn't guarantee something in that area to succeed.
For example, if you had strong career luck, but you are unemployed, then you won't see a promotion no matter how your career luck sky rockets.
Similarly, if in 2004, the chart owner did not take action to pursue someone, then a relationship won't happen.
Was any attempt made?
Also, in 2004, I see support and output luck are weak.
Those could be contributing factors too for a relationship to not happen, despite having interest and wanting to make attempts. (i.e. insecurity, inaction).

For both job and romance, there are 2 ways to approach them for good outcome:

- Increase of Direct Officer element without causing a direct clash on DM - leading to a promotion at work or better relationship with husband for females
- DM element strong enough to win in a clash with Wealth element for males - cooperative wife, great for husband (not so fun for wife)
- Direct Officer suppressed by strong Output element, which can be made strong by a strong DM - DM's ability to overcome challenges at work
- Direct Officer clashes on DM, but DM is strong = DM faces stress from work or husband if female, but is able to handle it
- Direct Officer clashes on DM, but DM is weak = DM succumb to the stress and experiences bad luck or health
- DM is not strong enough to suppress Wealth when DM element meets Wealth = reverse clash on DM = Husband can't get wife to align with him and is stressed out trying to do so

Five Element School don't seem to take into account Hidden Stems for calculations, at most for deciphering the related Ten Gods at the end of the "math".
I personally also question it, but all the teachers/masters of Five Elements are in unison.
I can only trust them on this as they are professionals, with a customer base that trust their readings, and track record of being reasonably accurate.
So, if we run with the disregard for Hidden Stems, each Earthly Branch element will be simplified down to their main Qi.
When a combine happens, the participating elements will lose most of their Qi, but not completely.
The remaining was what my "residual energy" is referring to.

Earth grows metal, so 酉's energy comprises of [戌's residual earth + 未's earth + itself].
This is the 酉's default state.
In this current 10-Year Luck Pillar, 午-未 combines, so 未 is left with residual earth energy.
Consequentially, 酉's energy downgrades to [戌's residual earth + 未's residual earth + itself].
So already in this currently Luck Pillar, his wealth potential is poorer than default state.
In 2024, 辰-酉 combines, so 酉's energy becomes [戌's residual earth + 未's residual earth + its own residual metal].
So 酉 faces a downwards change - which we will describe as experiencing a negative outcome.
And the magnitude of change is significant enough that we can guess that the negative outcome is not mild.
Hence for something as serious as finding the special one, I will say chances seems low.

And I have contemplated over the past day.
My conclusion is ultimately still not a good outcome.
My reason:
There is always an energy drop for both participating elements in a combine.
The incoming source is output, while the receiving is the affinity with opposite gender.
Hence the 2 nodes must interact, but also "lose something" in the end.
Outputting for a love interest is logical.
For it to "lose out" due to this combination, my imagery is that due to the commitment and effort put into pursuing love, he will lose time for himself.
Like being too busy at work for personal life, except this is being too busy with chasing love and foregoing other areas in life.
The other end, the 酉 metal, is attracted to the efforts, but ultimately the luck still drops.
So my imagery is there will be time and effort spent dating, wooing...and there will definitely be opposite party involvement because of the combine...but ultimately a real relationship does not happen, or will be short-lived.

Could be low activity due to holiday season, spanning x'mas to the new year to the chinese new year.
I was expecting many people looking for readings during the start of chinese new year though - very typical time for an annual reading.
I was personally so swarmed with work, holidays and family that I could not spend time here.
Trying to get my Bazi engine restarted again but I feel the current demands of life won't allow me the same response frequency as before.
Thanks for the supporting words though!

Hello,
I am not sure where to get help so I am posting here.
It's been awhile since I visited this forum.
I login today and have problems seeing some hidden posts.
If you look at the screenshots attached, I have problems seeing posts that required minimum participation that I already achieved.
Or require me to login when I am already logged in.
Hope someone can assist.

Attached is your chart.
I think the problem this year is because of the 2x 卯戌 Mao-Xu combination in the earthly branches.
卯 Mao, as Officer element, is related to your job, hence with 2 Mao being lost to a combine, luck with work is bad.
戌 Xu is Indirect Self-element, which can mean due to the way you communicate with others, (maybe a little overbearing?) caused friction at work and hence the unhappiness.
Stuck feeling is after you remove the 2x 卯戌 Mao Xu, the remaining 午 Wu fire clashes on the 酉 You metal. Metal is your Expression element and ability to be yourself.
When it is injured, you will feel very stuck.
Worse is the clashing comes from fire, which is your Support element.
Support element will also cause you to question more about what is right for yourself, for your life - deepening the feeling of being stagnant and lost.
Relationship-wise, maybe better luck next year.
Officer luck is shared with Spouse luck for females.
Since this year you lose 2x 卯 Mao, affinity with males not very good either.
In 2024, one of the 卯 Mao is replaced by 辰 Chen, reducing the 2x 卯戌 Mao-Xu combination to one, so number of Spouse elements lost is reduced.
Also, in the heavenly stems, another 甲 appears, adding more Spouse/Officer luck.
Luck with work also should improve.
But feeling of stuck might still persist, although in a different way, because 辰 Chen will combine with 酉 You, locking the metal away.
辰 Chen, similar to 戌 Xu, are Indirect Self-elements.
So likely feeling restricted pertaining to people that you deal with - how this will exactly play out, I'm not sure.
Other than what is mentioned, any specific areas or issues you are looking at or dive deeper?
