Its ok, from more ways to look into it it still does look like what was mentioned before. Problems with the first school, the second option depends on how its played out, as it may contain more choices then one.
A little like asking should I buy this car or should I buy any other car. First question the answer may be very clear - don't buy the car, but the second question will entirely depends on what other car we decide to buy. Likely in the world at any time there will be worse cars and better cars then the initial one. If the advice is to avoid first car, then any car worse then it would also be wise to avoid, after all.

Yea, it became messy, my bad I should have mention about setting the lines.
About the second question, well if you think about it it includes a lot. As there may be very different outcome for every school she joins instead, so the system gives some overview, but it doesn't matter much. If you have specific schools in mind and start asking about it should see its different hexagrams for each one, as the outcome is, of course, different, depending on the school and her relation to it.
So basically, simplified, if it was me I would go with option 2, keeping in mind depending on the other school chosen it may be very different outcome. But the outcome of 1 doesn't seem very beneficial and is worse for the Self line. That being said, I'm not sure how does the reading changes depending on the specific situation. I haven't asked for choosing schools before, and practice shows that much of the answer comes in relation to how free one will be to choose in the situation. Yet her position suggests by default she isn't free to choose, as that is how education works in most countries we ask for. So maybe hex 1 is not that bad, maybe it just shows she doesn't have a choice, but that we kinda know already. Even with that, however, the Self line is in very bad shape, as much as the system can show. Option 2 also has problems, though, that is fair to be mentioned. Just not as severe as 1.
In any case, as far as my part goes, I would read it that choosing other school may be much more beneficial depending what other school is chosen. As option 1 have indication of severe problems, even more so for the Self line.

OK, so "Will she regrets..."?
We assume the daughter is either on Self or on Other line.
Other line is Offsrping Line very strong in the month. It carries images of azure dragon(something potentially going right) and is carries also images of Child/Offspring. That can show indication of lack of regret or worry, as Child attacks Officer, usually showing worries and possibly regrets carried on.
Self line is very weak. Very, very weak. That can show lack of choice in the situation. If you have decided to let her decide that may be the reason. That is probably wise idea.
Second line ismoving. Its another child/offspring line, but this one is in void. It moves to very weak Parent line and returning restrictions. Someone may regret it, at home. And that may lead to lack of choices for them.
So summary depending how you think about the question, are you aprt of the situation, are you asking for her, and stuff like that:
1.If she is on other line - she will not regret it. But there is some problem at home, may mean she will not regret it as far as the school is concerned but may regret it because of some change related to her home.
2.If she is on Self - awful hexagram for that, Self is in very bad state, if she is on Self(meaning you ask for her, without adding your role in the situation) then that is definitly one of the worse possible developments the system can show I think.
3. If she is on line 2, meaning the system is showing her as Offspring/Child(since she is your daughter). Again bad, Curved Array is lack of choice, Void Offspring lines moves to returning restriction and changes to very weak Parent line. That can show worry.
If she is on Other line then she may not have regrets, but a lot of other people likely will be in bad position from that choice.
If she is on one of the other 2 lines, then that specific development is definitly difficult to recommend, both lines are in very bad state.
"Will it be better if she joins other schools?"
This time Self in very strong Child/Offspring lines. It again turns to Yin Wood very weak in day and month.
Much nicer, although still not great.
Summary:
1. If she is on Self line - its not very good, it will start well, but then she may start to take stuff too seriously or have problem with teachers there.
2. If she is on other line - this is very weak, but reasonably acceptable. Mao combines with Xu, so there may be part of the structure there she may enjoy. I think members may have difficult time reading this. The reason is... Well, yes and no question usually require some sort of set up. In the sense of preparation to receive the answer in specific way, like a agreement between you and the system how the information will be presented.
For example, you can set the far away school to be upper trigram and closer one to be lower trigram. Then wherever the Other line falls is what will be better.
That , however carries all sorts of challenges as well. As when we say "better" what does that mean... A school may be better for learning, but worse for social relations... May be good for health, but very bad for future perspectives etc.
So a general "better" leaves a lot of unknowns and practice shows that "better" would only be valid until the next sign we get, that may show the opposite.
Considering all that, much nicer approach is when you have 2 options to ask 2 questions and make 2 hexagrams. One is what will happen if she joins one of the schools, the other what will happen if she joins the other school
Even then it still has too have a focus, that means you can ask "how happy she will be if she joins...", or "how well she will learn..." etc. As otherwise the answer is left to the system... And sometimes that answer may be suppose to be overwritten by next sign one will get.

Sure, yea, I likely have seen it from him, he did point to different problems in Wild Cranes materials and most of them seemed valid.
I don't really remember the specific examples, but it makes sense that same problems would come up when I'm reading same examples...
One of the reasons I avoid commenting on Wild Crane before - as then instead of getting deeper into the system, will have to just point to problems and that is not fun to anyone, also good number of them would be related to AK, as even though I do think I view how it works very differently now, that specific part he did great work in clarifying.
However, at this point I don't think I would agree with this, either:
1. Choose the line which is moving.
As logically, if the system wants to show that there is a change going on with the other parent while noting changing with the parent we ask about, the other parents line would be moving...
So at the end it depends purely on how we view the system working. In my view it works similar to Remote Viewing and all other divination systems out there, it presents map of the situation following specific integrated rules.
That map is the priority, what rules we look for are attempts to read that map. But when in doubt, going back to the idea its just a representation of the actual situation is wise. Using premade stuff, like "line is strong so it shows what we look for"... Well, no, line is very strong - so it shows that aspect of the situation is strong. That is all.
That being said, I do think that could work in important cases. Like if the answer is very important for the system to send, then it would bend this way to provide it... But if we count on that, instead of learning the actual rules, we would be able to ask and read it in a valid way only in very, very rare situations when it is important, we are sincere and all the other stuff... That is not really needed, its only needed if the rules we use are not the real rules, as that is when the whole process around us will make the compromise and shape it in the way we need, instead of providing it how its actually happening.

But my idea was more around the situation when we have 2 lines of what we look for.
So what do one does if they ask for a parent and get 2 Parent lines. Or even more(line changing into Parent in the second hexagram, for example).
We can make 2 castings for both parents yet and again receive 2 Parent lines in each hexagram and have to select one of them to represent what we ask for...
As there are two approaches here. Well, there are more, but for this part we could look at two. One is to look for the line that is grabbing attention. Its stronger, its moving, its doing something etc.
The other is to look for the line that fits the actual situation, if there are 2 parents, weaker line shows the weaker parent. If one of the parents is going through transition, their line will be moving etc.
Logically if we ask for health and we take the stronger, more prosperous line to show the ill parent, then receiving information for that line may become very challenging. As stronger line suggests they are already in good health. Lets say the system wants to introduce the idea the parent will get very well very soon. How can it possible do that, when the line we choose to represent it, already shows they don't have problem with their health?
Similar logic for moving lines... If we choose moving parent to show the parent we are looking for, no matter what is actually happening, we may be risking to end up in a situation where there is change with the other parent, so the need to show that with moving line, the parent we ask about carry no change, yet his line is suppose to be moving, as otherwise we won't know where to look.
So I'm just wondering what do people choose in cases like this. As making another divination for the other parent is also very possible to show 2 or more Parent lines and one may again have to choose one.
And it will always come to - do we align with the real situation or we align with something else specific to show where we want to look.

This is interesting:
So lets say ones parent is very ill... For example their father. Lets say the mother is very healthy and well.
They make a hexagram asking about their fathers health, as logically that is the problem in the situation.... And they receive one Parent line that is very prosperous and one that is in very bad state.
Here I have to wonder... If we do assign the more prosperous line to the parent that is in worse state, isn't there a risk of reading the wrong line?

Yea, in my humble view this may be a lot more important then people realize... Because any case that happens, if its not realized one will just read the wrong hexagram and lines leading to a result that may be far, far away from the actual answer.

The hypothesis that 歸䰟 Returning Soul/Spirit hexagram could indicate a higher likelihood of death and 遊魂 Wandering Soul/Spirit hexagram a higher likelihood of coma is interesting.
It is pretty much in the investigative spirit of Wild Crane the MD you mentioned researched and discovered new Liu Yao relationships. Is there a English version of that MD?s research paper?
Well... I do respect investigative spirit... But if you mean publish paper in western academy places, I really, really doubt that, although maybe he did, no idea...
Anyway, if I remember correctly(was a while ago) the book was this I think:
Medical I Ching: The Oracle of the Healing Within by Miki Shima
The fascinating thing is this was not Wen Wang Gua book, he doesn't seem to knew why returning and wondering spirit are called such, about branches, other palaces etc. he only saw the effect in practice combined with the idea this 16 hexagrams are called that... And that makes it even more convincing in my view...
