Hi Vadim,

It may be helpful to get a hold of Jack Chiu's Wen Wang Gua book to understand some of the fundamentals.

Kong Wang or Void branch elements - is a standard concept with the use of the 60 Jia Zi pillars. There will be two Void elements for each JiaZi pillar and the Void elements in Liu Yao are based on the Day Pillar.
When a line is in Void it is considered empty or unreal - it takes on a different meaning in the reading.

In Liu Yao, a hexagram contains a set of the five elements. Many hexagrams may be missing an element (or elements) in the hexagram, those missing elements will be Hidden behind one of the lines within the hexagram. This is called the FuShen or Hidden Yao. The Line it hides behind is called the Flying Spirit or the FeiShen. The Hidden line can add meaning to the reading depending what it represents and whether it can come out if hiding,

In the attached image:
In the upper right hand corner we see the Void branch and the number of days the Void elements remain in Void.
Looking at the second line - Yin Wood / Officer; to its left we see Si Fire / Parent. Fire is the missing element in the Hexagram 11. The Fire element is hidden in the second line as Si and is hidden behind Yin Wood.
The second line contains the Flying Spirit element (FeiShen) and the Hidden Spirit (FuShen).

No, Water cannot produce Wood on the next line.

If fire is killed by water, can it  produce earth on the next line?

Yes, Fire can produce Earth on the next line, but with reduced strength.
Is there any importance in interpretation?  Yes. For example, Fire person gives his support for the Earth person, but then later one the Fire person goes back on his word, or lessens his commitment.

These are the answers if we don't look at other factors.

Oh JLim, thanks for the quick reply. The signifiсator is a word from astrology. For example, in any chart, Mars is a man, Venus is a woman. A useful god will probably be right. I am trying to understand how the ancient sages created this predictive system. In I ching, the first hexagram means start, and the end result. Here it is clear to me. For example, the question about health. The line of oneself in the first hexagram will be a child, and it changes to an officer. I asked myself the question: Will morning jogging help in resolving the health issue? Probably it will not help, but if, on the contrary, the officer changes to a child will probably help. I would like to understand what the prediction algorithm is based on in this system. Astrology has a house of marriage. The house is run by the owner. Please ignore my previous reply, which I have deleted. There was a mistake.

1. Child --->  Officer
You take medicine, but it's not effective for the illness.

2. Officer ---> Child
The medicine has good effects in curing the illness.

The above is one possible scenario.  There is no really algorithm in Liu Yao.  The above may look like one, but there are variations depending on the case. 

For example, (1) can also be: 
You take medicine, but it leads to a complication.  This happens when there is another Officer line in the original hexagram.
