Chou may be us, though(forums and the community, overall). Would explain why it contains all Metal as well(so it contains all approaches as it contains many people from different places).

I wish I could say we aren't 'shady' or 'hidding something', but as I said in the begining there is stuff I can't say that I'm using and I also know for a few other members here there are similar situation going.. : )

Its not greed or anything, though, just protecting techniques of specific schools.

Yesterday I asked a small followup question:
What can interaction with people on forums and rest of the internet bring me to progress on the path?

Casting:
37.5.6 -> 36

The Lui Yao analysis, as far as I can see with my limited knowledge seems to show a strong self line and multiple resource star available. Again indication of the playfulness aspect as output star Si in line 5 moves to Hai. Self line Chou controls Hai so it can acquire this knowledge.

37 as originating hexagram in itself is off course already clear enough as a message with lines 5 and 6 as reasonably positive lines. Idea of being part of the online community and to help it grow. That's also a part of the reason why I put the Bazi calculator online today .

And interestingly enough again 36 as resulting hexagram. What could it signify?

If we believe 'wild crane' material that means coming and going.

So sometimes fun(or naive ideas), sometimes knowledge. Sometimes friendly ideas, some times authoritative ones.

Overall the usual forum stuff, but rarely stable enough to be consistantly useful. : )


At the end it ends up on your Setting. Darkening of the Light... No idea how you read that, I don't usually focus on the whole hexagrams for WWG. But depends what the person will look at, if we focus on it one way to read it can be that most of what you will get you won't be able to clearly use. It can really vary depending on the person reading, though, can even read it that 'light within is more important then changing peoples views outside'...

If we put it all together, I think we can sum it up with 'You will likely receive - inconsistancy'. While that may not be what you are aiming for its what the community can happily provide everytime... If that is what you are after is a whole another story. But your line is strong, your whole Trigram is strong, so who cares...

Yea, ... those moving clashing lines. I already saw yesterday that it might be more complex then what I wrote above.

Might the non moving resource in line 3 present another option, not taken when focusing on the obvious?

Or perhaps like you say strong line in strong trigram. It contains a resource you can control and which is produced by invisible line. So although you get 'inconsistency' from the community, you are still happy and keep learning. Also explains a little bit the idea of still being in the dark but you have a little light with you.

And well yeah, the 36... Sometimes name of hexagram is translated as 'to accept'. Receive it 2 times. Just have to accept situation you are in right now

I wish I could say that the community is awesome, they will be very happy for the free calculator and there is good stuff all over the place...

But... Well... You will see with time if you haven't already. Tthe reactions to free calculators from the online forums are underwhelming, for so many calculators connected to the Five Arts we have made free, almost all interesting developments were from outside of the community. One of the reasons we avoid posting most of them now, it just isn't received at all and waits until it ends up somewhere else where people appreciate it.

So try it out, I hope it will work out, but don't be too disappointed if it doesn't. Strong line on strong trigram - unlikely to lose much in the process, but the sibling void lines, clashes all over the place and movement from 'family' to 'darkening of the light' may play its role as well.

Its not all bad, really, I think it just shows what the community can provide. And that isn't a lot of support, the focus is on other things, most of the time. And while I did what I could to see if another approach is possible, at this point I think I'm as part of that as everyone else along the way. Same for other people that did try some years ago, in my view.

Overall - we aren't great, lately. We tried to be some years ago, some of us, anyway. I guess we failed. Now are remnants of that whle we are moving in directions that are actually useful outside of the online communities for one or other reasons. At least I think so...

I would say you would have a hard time in trying to look for a school that will help. Usually, this means either you have reached the peak of what can be achieved already, or you have no sources of learning easily available to you that can push you further.

However, given that you are not at a point where you can help others on a whim and seeking to further continue your progressing along the road, this would suggest that you are more likely to be at the mercy of the second possibility; lack of sources for learning that can actually push you further. In this instance, spending any money on such a goal would not grant you any special previlege, or beneficial status that would help you in reaching your goal.

With this line of thought, since it would be fruitless in looking for a school to aid you in progressing along the road, it would be more logical to see what you can obtain on your own in the mean time. For any time you do invest is entirely your own and when the fancy takes you over the content.

However, even then, you will find it hard to truly obtain gains in progressing. So rather than waste time, relationships, money on something that can not be obtained, or has little impact on what your goal is. It would be best to see what can be done on your own spare time and effort and a community that you fit in with.

Decided I will try and put my focus on the Yi Jing right now, for the metaphysics part of my training that is. If I look back, it always seemed to allow me to connect with people in a nice way. Even some people who are completely opposed to the idea of divination. Since we have strong wood energy this year and the next, and wood is one of the weaker elements in my bazi chart, perhaps its a good time. Plus, seems like we have a reasonable large amount of information in the forums about this.

  - invisible shen on 3 becomes effective through opposition *

  - invisible became active by db but is vaulted by original line chou

Overal seems to be reasonably balanced. And a flow of energy from wood -> fire -> earth. Going strongly towards the center.

Self wei combines with the resource structure of the month. On the other hand, there is not much happening. No changing lines. Only the zi which is on the white tiger is active.

Since it seems the earths on 3 and 4 are not active (at least by chiu's rules), they don't oppose each other. Can we say these sibling lines are in harmony which each other? A connection between the unconscious and conscious is formed?

Interesting is the position of the deities. Bird and Dragon on bottom 2, Tortoise and tiger on top. Might be an indication to put a little bit more emphasis on the intuitive aspect. So perhaps in addition to the Liu Yao, might also be a good time to study the plum blossom divination.
