Problems with hidden posts and hidden by number of posts
« on: October 08, 2020, 02:10:18 PM »
I have trouble seeing the messages of those users who decide to put the post hidden or hidden by number of posts. The only way to see them is by clicking on the quote function, and there I can see them but some characters come out weird like interrogations, exclamations, quotes... all special symbols...

The message above from Gmuli I can't see it.

So I can only see it if I click on quote and it looks just like above.
Notice in this sentence: "Is this a good opportunity to get into".
The sign appears.

If I decide to quote from the view of the post in quote mode, then the others when quoting me, are not visible to them:

Also some posts like this one from Ren is very weird because I can't see the middle paragraph. I can only see continuous lines.

It happens to me both in Windows 10 (laptop) and in Android 10 (phone) and with different browsers.

I noticed your account language is set to Spanish.
I've tried changing to the default English, can you try and see if it is working now?
I suspect that there might be some problems with the Spanish language file on the forum.

All right!!, it seems that this is the problem because at the moment I can already see the hidden posts!. I'm back in another post JLIM and Gmuli also made me see some strange characters in my quotes, so it seems some problem with the Spanish.

If I detect any more problems I will let you know.

Thank you for confirming that the problem is now fixed after switching to English interface.
At least we now know that the problem was caused by the Spanish language pack.
We will look into upgrading it in near future and will let you know once that is done.
