Will changing my job this year a good move?
« on: October 13, 2023, 02:21:34 PM »
Hi,

I am a female who was born in 25 July 1985, 5:55PM Bangkok time.

Another post from me and would appreciate if I could have a guidance whether I should move to this new role. If the interview is going well, I most likely will have an offer within next week or the following.

My concern about this role is going back to the place where I was bullied by a manager in 2020. Having said that, it is a big corporation and it will be in an unrelated area from this person, although it won't completely dismiss the chance of crossing path with this horrible manager again. If I do, I will be the same level as he is if I walk back in to the company.

I was not really looking for this role, however 2 of my good friends referred me to the role and they both mentioned the hiring manager and the area of where this role are quite nice and they haven't seen any unnecessary politic.

It is a leadership role that I've been looking for and the money is way more than where I am today.

My question is, if I take this role, is there a chance to understand if next year I will stumble upon difficult situation as I was in 2020?

Thank you in advance, really appreciate your guidance.

Hi @minx88 ,

As 2024 is 辰 in the branch, it forms a combination with your 酉.
This combinations takes away both energies.
酉 metal is your one lone career element.
辰 earth is one of your many wealth elements.
This means you will likely face challenges at work next year in relation to the way you work towards your goals.

Whether this has any connection to your narcissistic ex-boss cannot be determined from Bazi.
In fact, this destined outcome will still be in effect even if you don't taken this role.
So my advice is that Bazi isn't sufficient enough to give you a clear answer / direction - you might want to consider divination techniques such as Qi Men or Liu Yao.

Hi @aeonrel,

Thank you so much for your guidance for me on the second topic I posted.

In terms of work, I have no particular goal in the workplace. All I want is just work and get paid so I can still pay my bills, while I'm working to build my side business. I would say the business will be my main focus next year in terms of career.

In terms of my element next year, will it be as bad as 2020? I remember you mentioned Geng metal directly bashing down my DM, will it be alot of unhappiness at work?

In terms of Qi Men or Liu Yao, do you know who or where I should go to and seek guidance on this?

Thank you again.  :)

I realize I made a mistake for that past reading because while, yes, Geng metal can bash wood, but the wood in question is Yi wood.
Geng and Yi forms a combination, causing both energies to be locked away.
Generically speaking, the lost of energies can be similar to a clash, but in this case, you have more than just DM as Yi.
Your Hour and Year Pillars are also Yi.
This means they protected your DM by sacrificing either one to combine with Geng.
So your DM in 2020 is actually safe.
So what gave you that mental hardship?
I would say it is actually in the branch row, where Zi water combines with either one of your Chou earth.
I think Zi as indirect support element here could be representing your then-manager, and Chou earth, as your wealth element, stands for the way you think and operate (tendency to be benefits/desire/target-driven / calculative).

This would be a similar explanation to 2024 where Chen, as wealth element and possibly be correlated to your mindset, has its energy lost to the You work element.
But since You is generic to work, it may be not solely correlate to problems with superiors...could also be the tasks assigned themselves giving you problems.
What's more, with You gone, nothing is stopping the 2x Chou and 1x Wei earths from coming down hard on the decade luck pillar Hai water.
Hai is your support element, and can represent moral thinking, ethics.

So in totality, this paints me a picture whereby there the struggles in 2024 are mostly mental.
If the bad feeling in 2020 is mostly mental, then yes, 2024 might also be similar, likely connected to work, but not necessarily connected to the narcissistic manager.

This adds a new dimension to my evaluation above.
Side business will be using your wealth element as the guiding luck.
I would think it will be represented by the Chen direct wealth (direct if it is a legal and proper business).
Since it bonds with You and loses energy from both ends, I am suspecting if it will become a case of conflicting interest between your main job and side job?
This is compounded by the remaining Chou and Wei earths suppressing your Hai, which could mean in your pursuit, you could be overstepping some ethical boundaries?
These are guesses but possibilities.
Depending on which path of actions you choose, it may play out differently, but will likely be in accordance to the elemental interaction outcomes.

In terms of Qi Men or Liu Yao, do you know who or where I should go to and seek guidance on this?

You can get the knowledge for them online, i.e. Google, YouTube.
How deep depends on how much effort you are willing to commit into learning them.
Once you have an introductory understanding of each system, you can pick one, generate a chart based on your questions, then seek help deciphering in the Free Divination Request board, much like how you are seeking help deciphering Bazi here.
Or if you dedicated, you can master the system(s) and decipher them yourselves - not a bad idea as a life skill.

Thanks for your explanation.

Answer to this is, long story short back in 2020 I had a desire to grow and get a promotion, and I came to this particular manager to ask for it, however I told them, if it's not the time yet, it is fine, however i just needed some guidance. Instead of them giving me the guidance, they shut me down and not rare I found this person took credit from me. It was not the only reason, this person also overstepped numerous times and tried to impress their superior by trying to take away what's supposed to be within our rights. What took the toll, it was the performance review the time that we were supposed to be receiving feedback. Instead of providing me feedback, and when I asked for one, they asked condescending questions and gaslighted me, so in a nutshell I was bullied. It happened to be covid as well, so I couldn't find another role.

The ideas that we are going ahead to build has nothing to do with what this new role be nor what my current role is.
So I wonder if it is more about splitting time between professional vs side project.

I just hope my life next year will be better than 2020. I don't mind challenges as it's part of life, you can definitely grow from it and in general I've been told I am quite strong as a person. However, not to the extend I was feeling trapped and having a really bad mental health state.

Just wondering, knowing this will destined to be happened anyway, if there is anything I can do to minimise the intensity at all? Maybe through fengshui etc?.

Ah, I see. I think taking credit from you could explain for the drop in wealth strength (Chou).
And the guidance that the manager should have been, but did not live up to, is the indirect support (Zi).
Thanks for the deeper details for correlation.

It can be that as well.
At least I was thinking from that direction originally.

I think if the outcomes manifest in the more physical way, which is just you balancing time between the 2 jobs, then less likely it will be about mental health challenges.

To minimize intensity of bad luck, one way is through fengshui, the other is through own actions.
Bazi serves as a guide to become aware of the things to come.
Then it is easier to mitigate via actions as you now have a clearer idea what are the challenges coming your way.
You can take steps to dodge, or be mentally prepared to weather, or even strategically turn the situation to your advantage if you are smart enough about it.
