What's with this crazy number of visitors? Statistically, if these were real people, they would be leaving messages. The number of messages would increase exponentially with the number of visits. Or it's AI. It'll copy smsek, mine, and others. And it's scary to think what kind of responses it'll produce :).

@Under10Gods

I'm no expert but I recently read that over half of internet traffic are now by bots (especially given the rise of AI-driven search bots), of which 37 percentage points are 'malicious' bots.

Regards.

duesouth is right.  There are a lot of bots, all sorts of them, that crawls the web all the time.  It could be search engine, AI bots, spam bots etc.  They don't contribute to real activities.

The crawlers have been around since many years ago, so it's kind of normal.  Recently, as soon as Dec 2024, there are more crawlers due to AI bots.  We live in an AI world now  ;)

When AI bots parse web pages, they behave like a regular user. But they'll parse a forum in an hour tops. And now you can't even access this one. It throws a database error. And a bunch of other errors. Now that looks like an overload. But if it could handle 172,000 users, why can't it handle 70,000? Is it because of Google Translate?
I confess. I shared a link to the forum on a forum in Russia. About three days ago. But I didn't think it would lead to such heavy loads. Or maybe that's not it.
