Hi all,
FYI. My translation of the case study using the 1691AD version of Zengshan Buyi (ZSBY) (see ZSBY-6 pdf in
https://fivearts.org/index.php?topic=1997.0):
[Ex.23-63. X/W to W/W]如丑月丁酉日。占父出外。一載無音。得風水渙。變坎卦。
Example: Chou month, Ding You day. Divining about father who is away, for a year without news. Obtained Wind-Water
Dispersing [X/W], transforming into
Kan gua [W/W].

卯木父爻動而生世。又化子水囘頭生。許之在外平安。世空者速至。交春卽歸。
Mao wood Father line is moving and producing Subject. Also changing into Zi water turning back to produce. Predict that [father] outside is safe. Subject void [i.e. Si on a Ding You day] [means] a swift arrival. Come spring, he will promptly return.
果于二月。得意而囘。此非卯動。酉日沖之。何當散耶。
Result: in 2nd month [Mao], triumphant return. Is this not Mao moving with You day clashing it? How can it be ?dispersed??
