I would have thought ding ren combi will transform. 

Stems will combine under certain conditions. Additional conditions must be met for an elemental transformation to occur.

Conditions for Stem Combinations
There are several types of stem combinations depending upon the location of the stem
pairs on the chart, and whether or not there is competition between stems for a
combination. Rules and examples for each type are outlined below.

(A) Combinations Involving Adjacent Stems - Stems must be adjacent.
Transformation will be successful if there is a catalyst in the Month Branch as
either innate qi or leftover qi.
If there is no catalyst of innate or leftover qi in the Month Branch, there will
simply be a combination without transformation.

(B) Combinations Involving Separated Stems
Stems that are separated will only have the intention to combine (flirting), but not
the ability to transform (marriage).

Her problems of saving money and relationship is caused by Shen-Hai harm.  Shen is Spouse Palace, and Hai is wealth. 
Based on Mangpai, the active sub-LP is currently Hai, not Zi.
