Wealth element for Yi DM and death star for Bazi?
« on: April 07, 2026, 09:10:38 PM »
I'm not sure I put this thread in the right place when I posted in the "Case studies" part of the forum. Therefore I will try posting in here.

Can anyone help with the best wealth formation/opportunities in upcoming years for this female bazi chart, about to sell a property hopefully this month or next month and needing to sell more of her artwork. :) Should wait for earth months to clash open the wealth storage?

This female DM has made most of her wealth from real estate deals (Ji earth as indirect wealth element), but it's sporadic and seems to need the clash or combo to open up the wealth storages. First purchase and money gift for property in year 2003, Gui-Wei. Since then, sold a small piece of land in 2014; Jia Wu (Gui-Mao LP) and made investment in the following year (perhaps still Jia-Wu year though). Properties since then making the highest gains of money selling in years 2017 Ding You (Gui-Mao LP) and then again the highest gains in year 2021 Xin-Chou (Ren-Yin LP).

Yi DM when strong enough can make the indirect JI wealth (seen within Chou and Wei branches) in years that support or clash open those wealth stores, examples seen above in years Wei, Wu and Chou. The Ding-You year I'm not sure - but maybe because the fire makes earth for DM.

According to this experience, there might be wealth forming opportunities from selling her artwork and from property sales in years 2026 with Bing-Wu, hidden stems are Ding and Ji (indirect wealth) and in year 2027, Ding-Wei. However, all that fire can make pressure on her marriage/relationship palace as well as next year's clash). I find it very interesting that the biggest gains from property sales were made with the Xin-Chou clash in 2021 and that was also a very good/happy bonding year in her relationship with a Geng-Yin day pillar spouse. Which might mean that the next LP, Xin-Chou, might be very good for this DM.

Ding Yi Ding Ren
Hai Chou Wei Zi

Year pillar Bing Wu - full clash with Bazi year pillar.
Luck pillar Ren Yin - full combo with Bazi hour pillar.
Next LP is Xin-Chou - clash open the wealth storage.

Bazi plotted with https://bazi-calculator.com/
Female 2nd August 1972 at 22.30 (corrected to solar hour for longitude)

This is what I see:
Ding-Ren wood formation on stems.
Hai-Zi Chou full water frame formation on branches.
Chou-Wei clash and Zi-Wei harm. Does the water frame formation keep the clash and harm away from being active, or is all active at all times?

Currently, the Ren-Yin luck pillar makes a full combination to stem and branch of Ding-Hai hour pillar, which completely changed her life into becoming an artist. She never created art until this luck pillar (except for childhood drawing).

Currently Yin also makes a secret combination to all hidden stems within Chou spouse palace; HHS forming Wu-Gui=fire, Bing-Xin=water, Jia-Ji=earth. So far it's been a strong bond in her relationship - but Si and Wu years are making things more difficult in terms of close connection. Si year was six harms for the spouse, and Wu year is both harm, academic star and peach blossom for her.

Yin also makes the wood combination to Hai - making Hai water occupied with making more wood to support the DM (and offspring/output).

Death star? Something else has happened during these last few years in terms of estrangement with close family. According to the Chinese wisdom about Shen sha, symbolic stars (https://www.fatemaster.ai/en/guides/shensha/wang-shen) Yin tiger is Wang Shen or "death star" to Hai and Wei branches - which seems to be affecting her relationships with sibling and offspring; very serious long term estrangement. The first one happened during Geng-Yin year 2010 with the sister (haven't spoken since, for 16 yrs) and the current one started in year 2020 with the oldest son estrangement with this "death star" effect as well as Ren in LP combine with Ding in hour pillar.

At the same time, her spouse (Geng-Yin day pillar) has recently started his Geng-Wu luck pillar which seems to be mourning star or funeral gate for his day pillar (https://www.fatemaster.ai/en/guides/shensha/sang-men) - so bringing sorrow to his spouse or himself.

Anyway, I find Chinese Bazi very interesting to study. I've only scratched the surface here - but am interested in learning more. I'd love to have your viewpoints on this Bazi.

This Bazi chart presents a fascinating study of a "Strong" Yi Wood (乙) Day Master (DM) supported by a powerful "North Directional Water Alliance" (Hai-Zi-Chou). Because the Wood is so well-nourished by water, the chart thrives on **Output (Fire)** to express talent and **Wealth (Earth)** to provide stability and results.

[Image of the Five Elements cycle]

### 1. Wealth Formation: Opening the Storages
For a Yi Wood DM, Earth represents wealth. The chart contains **Ji Earth (Indirect Wealth)** hidden within both the **Wei (Goat)** and **Chou (Ox)** branches.

In Bazi theory, Earth branches are considered "Graves" or "Storages." When wealth is "stored," it often remains stagnant or inaccessible until a **Clash** or **Combination** "stirs" the branch, releasing the hidden stems.
* **The Chou-Wei Clash:** The chart already contains an internal clash between the Day branch (Chou) and Month branch (Wei). This suggests that wealth for this individual is inherently tied to movement, property transitions, or "breaking" old structures to find value.
* **Earth Years/Months:** You are correct that waiting for Earth-dominant periods (or those that trigger the Chou-Wei clash) is traditionally the most auspicious time for "releasing" stored capital.

### 2. Analysis of 2026 (Bing Wu) and 2027 (Ding Wei)
These two years represent a significant shift in energy.
* **2026 (Bing Wu):** The **Bing (Yang Fire)** stem is the "Hurting Officer" (Output) for Yi Wood, which is excellent for an artist. It represents visibility and the "selling" of one's creations. The **Wu (Horse)** branch combines with the Wei in the chart to create more Fire (Output) but also clashes with the **Zi (Rat)** in the year pillar. This "clash of fire and water" can create emotional volatility or pressure, but it often catalyzes the "selling" process through sheer activity.
* **2027 (Ding Wei):** This year brings a "Double Wei" to the chart, intensifying the clash with the **Chou** spouse palace. While this is highly effective for "opening the wealth storage" and finalizing property deals, it does increase the "pressure" you noted regarding the relationship palace.

### 3. The "Death Star" (Wang Shen) and Estrangement
The symbolic star **Wang Shen (Death God)** often carries a misleading name. In modern Bazi analysis, it rarely signifies literal death. Instead, it represents a state of "deepening" or "void."
* **Relationship Impact:** When Wang Shen (Yin Tiger in this case) interacts with the branches representing family (Hai/Wei), it can manifest as a "mental wall" or emotional distancing. This explains the long-term estrangement. It suggests that while the person is present, the "connection" has been "lost" to a different plane or state of mind.
* **Luck Pillar Influence:** The current **Ren Yin** Luck Pillar introduces this Yin Tiger. Because Yin also combines with Hai (the hour/offspring pillar) to form Wood, the "Resource" (Water) is being converted into "Rob Wealth" (Wood). This can sometimes signify family members becoming a source of stress or "competition" for one's energy, leading to the desire for distance.

### 4. The Upcoming Xin-Chou Luck Pillar
The transition into the **Xin-Chou** pillar will be a major turning point.
* **Xin (7 Killings):** This brings authority and status but also potential legalities or sharp challenges.
* **Chou (Wealth Storage):** Entering a Luck Pillar that matches the spouse palace (Chou) will trigger a "Self-Punishment" or simply double the Earth energy. This reinforces the focus on real estate and tangible assets.
* **The Clash:** This pillar will continuously clash with the **Wei** in the month pillar. From a financial perspective, this is often seen as a decade of "active wealth"?money is constantly moving, being reinvested, or unlocked from assets.

### Summary Table: Key Interactions

| Period | Element/Interaction | Potential Outcome |
| :--- | :--- | :--- |
| **Current (Ren Yin LP)** | Water/Wood + Wang Shen | Transformation into Artist; family estrangement. |
| **2026 (Bing Wu)** | Strong Fire (Output) | High visibility for artwork; potential property sale. |
| **2027 (Ding Wei)** | Double Earth Clash | Maximum wealth "opening"; stress in relationship palace. |
| **Next (Xin Chou LP)** | Metal/Earth + Double Storage | Significant focus on legacy, property, and structured wealth. |

---

The "Water Frame" (Hai-Zi-Chou) provides a very strong foundation of "Resource" (intelligence and support), which explains why the DM is "strong enough" to handle these heavy clashes without being overwhelmed.

Since this DM is transitioning from a period of artistic discovery into a more "wealth-clashing" phase, are they looking to pivot back into full-time real estate management, or are they hoping to integrate the artwork into their property ventures?

Thank you both very much for looking into this Bazi.

smsek, thank you for your analysis.

When you say:

Because the Wood is so well-nourished by water, the chart thrives on **Output (Fire)** to express talent and **Wealth (Earth)** to provide stability and results.

Would you consider the DM always having this strength - or fluctuating with the luck pillars? Does the Hai-Zi-Chou always hold it's strength, or is the water frame "weakened" when those branches are clashed or combined? In the case when Yin combines with Hai, it strengthens the DM with more wood, but what in case of the Bing-Wu fire horse clash to the Ren-Zi pillar? Do you see Ren-Zi pillar as the parents?

In the case of Yin luck pillar combining with the spouse palace, it seems like so far it's a very strong bond in relationship - but the whole 10 year period has to be lived to see if the strong bond will hold through the upcoming clashes with Wei and Shen years. I do think the the Wei year will be about making investments or money gains - perhaps in partnership with the spouse this time.
Those clash year seem to be able to "break the secret bond" between Chou-Yin branches (https://www.fengshuied.com/earthly-branch-secret-combinations).

For this DM with earth as wealth element would you consider all the earth branches favourable for opening those wealth storages? F.ex. if this DM is about to sell a property or her artwork, would it be the best timing to always choose earth months or would the whole earth year period be full of wealth luck? I'm assuming that all the earth months will be the most favourable to gain wealth-get some money/sales. For her artwork though, she did get the most attention and sell most of it during late August month in year 2022 (double Ren-Yin for year and LP) and 2023 which was Gui Mao year. Both years are water-wood and the exhibition and sales happened.

For those interested, the first one was on Aug 20th 2022;
LP REN_YIN, Yp Ren-Yin, mp Wu-Shen, dp Yi-Si.
According to bazi-calculator the month stem and all the branches carry direct wealth Wu earth. It was good visibility/exposure and good sales.

The second exhibition and very good sales was on Aug 19th 2023;
LP REN-YIN, yp Gui-Mao, mp Geng-Shen, dp Ji-You.
Strangely enough there is not much earth for this one, but strong metal. Why was this one good for sales?

The third year she exhibited three times in summer months June, July, August in year 2024 Jia-Chen with very little sales. Same for 2025 Yi-Si year, almost no art sales. But did sell a property for a good price and buy another one more expensive - so the wealth was kind of depleted or got stuck again that year.

Can you figure out and please explain why metal is also good for money for this Yi DM? Like in year 2017 sold property and this is happening during transition from Shen to You year? Property purchase offer received and accepted on Feb 3rd 2017; acc to Chinese calendar this is still Bing-Shen year and Xin-Chou month (again the Xin-Chou carries property sale) and on Xin-You day. The official final papers for the purchase when all the money and mortgages were ready were signed on March 14th 2017; acc to Chinese calendar this was Ding-You year, Gui-Mao month and Geng-Zi day. No earth at all was present when receiving the money from this sale. Why???

I find that very curious. Is that because the Bazi is lacking metal and therefore metal is favourable for the chart as a whole?

Also, would you consider the chart being able to transform the Ding-Ren into wood as well?

You asked:

Well, the answer to this is that she is wanting to balance and carry on both. To be an artist and have the property or stocks on the side. The real estate has brought the most wealth into her life in the recent years and that has made it possible for her to be secure about creating her art. She wants to carry on creating art and sell it as well as dealing with her money to invest in stock and property. :)
